Convenient

Humble Bundle really does offer great value for money. One problem people may have though, is that they know nothing about the games on offer, and thus, overlook or ignore them completely. That or getting said games to run via different installers, platforms, and so on, is just a hassle that many gamers don’t want to deal with. This bundle aims to fix that. Every single game is accessible straight from your browser, and has demoes playable right now.

Feel like you need some new games in your life? Pay anything over $1 for a handful of indie games. Pay a little extra and you’ll get even more. These games are valued at around $104 under normal circumstances!

HB

Big name indie games playable right in your browser! No more plug-ins. No more installers. Pure gaming goodness is now accessible straight from the browser you already use. Pay what you want for full-fledged indie games you can play right now: Super Hexagon, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome, Osmos, Zen Bound 2 and Dustforce DX. If you pay more than the average price, you’ll also get Voxatron and FTL: Faster Than Light Advanced Edition. Those who pay $8 or more will receive all of the above plus Democracy 3. Select soundtracks are available, too!

Play in your browser, download DRM-free or redeem on Steam. All games in this bundle are available to play in your browser. These games play best on the latest version of Firefox but will also work on Chrome version 28 and higher or Firefox version 22 and higher. Other browsers capable of executing JavaScript or mobile browsers may also work but are not guaranteed. For maximum compatibility, please use the latest version of Firefox or Chrome.

As per usual, you can choose to split your funds between Humble Bundle, the developers themselves, or select charities. The charities for this bundle are The Mozilla Foundation, Code Now, and Maker Education Initiative. Be sure to check them out!

I tried a couple of the games on offer. The downloads were quick and ran without any hiccups. It really is convenient! I have not touched any games in this bundle. What about you? Is there anything here I really should play?

The only thing that gets me is that it has a time limit, but at the same time that makes it for 99% of FTL players.

Kind of on the same topic. I really enjoy Star Command

I think FTL needs a sandbox mode where you can just travel space for as long as you can survive. Nothing rushing you or anything like that. Just endless exploration and battles.

There is a minimod that disables the rebel fleet, allowing you to “visit” each point. I rather like this mode. I feel like I am in command of my own ship, instead of following some silly order saving some silly galaxy.

A few, including a combat rebalance that was actually included in an official patch.

          • Captain JJ Underleyened

            October 15, 2014 at 14:39

            Oooh nice.
I’ve never played The Witcher 2. I got Skyrim around that time and played it for two years, missing the Witcher bus. With Wild Hunt on the way, and me devouring every Witcher book and comic I can find, I NEED to get me Witcher 2.
After I’ve finished Shadow of Mordor, that is.

          • Alien Emperor Trevor

            October 15, 2014 at 14:51

Witcher 2 is nothing like Skyrim. Recommend downloading the combat rebalance mod for it as well.

            October 15, 2014 at 14:56

            “nothing like Skyrim”

Combat is better than Skyrim though, much more difficult

          • Alien Emperor Trevor

            October 15, 2014 at 15:08

The latter. Skyrim is more about exploration & making your own story really. If you want to spend hours exploring every cave, which I did, it’s great. Witcher is a heavily story focused mature RPG with far more interesting combat mechanics. When you make a decision there you can cut off entire sections of the game.

          • Captain JJ Underleyened

            October 15, 2014 at 15:09
