Yesterday, September 12th, 2013 — a date which will live in infamy – Lazygamer.net broke a record we have been striving for for quite some time, officially we expected the record to be broken in early 2014 following our normal growth pattern but things change dramatically at E3 this year.
Just prior to E3 our server was upgraded and a new wave of readers were able to get on and enjoy the experience that is Lazygamer.net And yesterday at around lunchtime we finally broke the 30 day rolling record we’ve wanted for so very long.
Yeah baby. 1 million hits were logged between the 12th of August 2013 and the 12th of September 2013. If you’re wondering how important this is to me personally, this is what I looked like last night. I will save you the actual video as it’s quite disturbing and my wife says no one else should ever be subjected to that.
As always we want to thank you wonderful and amazingly beautiful/handsome readers with incredible taste in video game news for helping us reach this mark. We are by no means done and plan to continue to grow and improve until the end of time itself.

!st 1 is great. BUT people do not complete it because they say the swamp is too hard, the final mission there and stuff. You need to grind a bit, get more powerful and then the swamp missions are so easy is not even funny. But you must grind a little.
Leave the start swamp area, go to town and then come back later, monsters have come back, kill again.

You have a valid point, while I don’t want to release all our information in public simply because a girl has to keep some secrets I can state that our uniques are in the mid hundreds of thousands.
Are stats are available to all our advertisers and we are audited by Effective Measures as well so it’s no state secret.

Hate to rain on your parade, but page views is not a very meaningful metric. If you’ve hit 1 mil page views then I’m guessing you’ve got in the region of 200k visitors during that period – not such a nice big round number 🙂

Yes, we do realise that pageviews are not a great metric – but we’ve wanted that million for so long. As for your estimate; it’s very wrong, on the low end of the scale. Our verified, audited stats are available via the DMMA should you wish to see them.

Yeah the problem is with so many numbers it’s hard to get one meaningful one.. but hey a million is such a pretty number.
I live by milestones and this was definitely one I wanted.. the next i obviously a million unique and then 10 million hits.. and on and on
We also managed to log over 4 million ad impressions which is another nice big number.. was so chuffed when that one hit 1 million

You should run Cloudflare Analytics below Google Analytics for even more accurate readings. AWstats isn’t made up btw, it just records hits differently. e.g. Every time someone Google’s a keyword and your site pops up in one of the 1,000,000,000 return results it will count as a hit. (even though they didn’t visit your site)
How many unique in that 1 Million pageviews & what is the bounce rate?
