There’s another version Of Street Fighter IV coming

Street Fighter II: The World  exploded in to arcades in 1991, nearly defining the fighting game genre and becoming one of Capcom’s biggest franchises. It was followed up with Street Fighter II: Champion Edition which made the bosses playable, and the later with a faster version called Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting. That too was updated, and became Super Street Fighter, adding even more characters. That wasn’t even the last of them – not too long after, It was updated to become Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

Street Fighter games get a number of iterations within the same game. that’s just the way it goes. All of that should lessen your surprise that there’s another named version of the latest version of the game, Street Fighter IV. Already updated twice to Super Street Fighter and Super Street Fighter Arcade Edition (with a minor iteration after that), it’ll now be getting another revision; Ultra Street Fighter IV.

It’ll be headed to retail in early 2014 for $40 as a standalone purchase, or as a $15 DLC upgrade to the existing PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. It will includes six new stages, and all costume DLC released to date, plus it’ll add five new characters – Hugo, Rolento, Elena, Poison and a “mystery character” who has never been in Street Fighter before.

Any guesses?

I am prob gonna get shot down in flames, but I bought Street fighter 4 and I enjoyed it for a lil while, but became dull very quickly. For me I personally prefer Soul Calibur or Tekken to me they my fighting games of choice.

Hwoarang, ling xiaoyu and lei wulong were my top characters. Then I learnt about EGWF with most of the Mishima Style fighters, Jin became my favorite! would love to challenge too!! 🙂

It will be great I am sure but Microsoft has a HATE SNOWBALL that is just getting bigger and bigger thanks to their own shit PR.

We will have to wait and see what 3rd party devs are going to do when the sales are compared across both consoles.

Assassins creed is already going to have better water and graphics on the PS4 than the Bone. That is bad news for Microsoft.

Those comparison sites are going to be in for a treat next gen.

I really hope MS gets it right at Gamescon or maybe as early as Comicon? Things can only get better!????. Judging by the pre orders I’m not too worried about 3rd party support at all really!

Regarding AC, I read the article a bit different though: “For the most part, Guesdon stated that the game will feature more realistic plants and waves should gamers purchase it on next-generation consoles” Sounds like he was comparing PS4 version to current gen and addressing fears that the next gen version will have added content?

Capcom vs SNK 3 on the King of Fighters engine is all I care about seeing. Not a big fan of the new SF engine myself.
