Despite what certain over the hill film critics have to say about the medium, video games are indeed art. After all, if you have hundreds of artists slaving away for a few years, how could the end product not be classified as such?
Of course, before a game can even start being developed, the people behind it need an idea of what exactly it is that they’re going to be digitally crafting, and that’s where concept art comes in.
Some of it can be amazing though, as it fully paints and sets a theme for the game to follow, resulting in some spectacular pieces of creativity.
One such franchise is Assassin’s Creed, which over the years has evolved into a series that spans major moments in history, reflected here in its art.
