EA CFO, Blake Jorgensen, stated at the EA shareholder meeting that DICE’s Battlefront:
“will most likely come out around the same time that the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of ’15.”
So, does this mean that Battlefront will tie in with the JJ Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII? Or are they just going to share in each other’s hype? This release date isn’t much of a surprise – we knew that they weren’t going to release it during this financial year, which would have been before 1 April 2014. I suppose we’ll see what Disney, or is it DICE/EA, have on offer at the next E3. In the meantime, I suppose you’ll just have to make due with Angry Birds: Star Wars.
