Next up is Sony’s conference, which instead of just having a Geoff there, actually has all three of the Lazygamer Gamescom team in attendance, meaning more coverage, more pictures. , more awesome.

At the time of writing, we’re unable to find an embeddable stream, but rest assured, we’ve done our best to find one, and if the monkeys behind the scenes have found it, it’ll be right here, followed by our live blog of the whole thing.

I doubt Sony has anything that will trump the Tomb Raider bombshell.

Sony’s big announcement, PS Now prices halved due to nobody being stupid enough to pay the sort of prices they thought they were going to charge.

Sony doesn’t play games like that. Sony is too busy creating games with all their exclusive gaming studios.

If Sony wants to make Microsoft cry they will just announce how many PS4’s they sold.

This below for me is just as big a bombshell ,something I have wanted since both of these consoles released and MS have done it.

Media Player – a new app will be available soon that enables users to play media files from either an attached USB device or from a network connected home media server that supports DLNA protocols. The preview version of the Media Player app will initially only support USB devices, with DLNA support coming soon. Xbox One will support more formats than Xbox 360, including support for dozens of new file formats like mpeg 2 TS, animated gifs and mkv which will be added by the end of the year

That’s nice and all but personally that’s probably the last thing I would use my console for. Plus I can plug a usb harddrive in my TV anyways. If I wanted to.

It’s simpler just to get a little stand-alone media player. Bought one for the family, connects directly to the TV, plays everything & only cost a couple of R100.

You should suggest it in the Sony forums because that media player MS are about to add to the Xbox has all the most requested features they are asking Sony to include.

Also not sure how I would be simpler as this all boots from one Xbox app and the Xbox One allows Unlimited size USB 3 drives.

At least Sony got some exclusive games I want to play. Can’t say the same for Microsoft.

I need Witcher 3 news. If there is no Witcher 3 news on Lazygamer then just leave the intern in German.

Yeah, I think the problem is the Tomb Raider exclusivity reveal left me angry, and not excited to get a boner. Judging by the rioting online, I think it backfired immensely. Clearly, a decision taken from a business perspective and not one that takes the reality of gaming to heart.

Ai, gone are the days that getting excited was the reason for the boner….

I know right, you should celebrate in getting a boner. You shouldn’t feel ashamed or angry. It’s unhealthy. Damn you MICROSOFT!!! :/ No man should be angry at the boner.

Is that a sponsored comment? Or was that paid for advertisement. I can’t tell.

Sony showed better games than Microsoft. But I only care about the Witcher 3 and GTA 5 on PC.

Bad.. so your definition of bad is getting some exclusive new IP.. vs the Xbox show which was 90 minutes of trailers for games we’ve known about since E3 last year. Where are the new exciting games??

Ooh I think they showed just what people wanted to see, they didn’t show some others so I take it they must be holding the news back on them to coincide with the Xbox One console launch in Japan in a couple of weeks.
They have Six exclusives being developed in Japan not mentioned and they also didn’t mention others such as Scalebound, Killer Instinct 2 etc.

So far Gamescom has been pretty meh. Microsoft’s conference was lacklustre, Sony’s one was lacklustre, and EA’s one was just utter shit.
