Rift: Storm Legion released

Rift’s first expansion launched last night, introducing many awesome changes and new features to the game. Can’t wait to get my hands on it today! Check out the new features and launch trailer. Giant monsters included.

Rift (previously known as Rift: Planes of Telara) released in March 2011 and enjoyed a great reception, scoring an over all 84 on Metacritic. The game brought a lot of innovation into the MMO genre as well as a very unique story. Since then Trion Worlds have done a superb job of constantly improving the game. The latest expansion adds a new villain to the game, a psycho chick named Crucia with some very devious plans for Telara and the ascended. I’m going to enjoy kicking her butt quite a lot.

New features:

  • Two new continents
  • First neutral city for both factions
  • 10 more levels
  • Four more souls
  • Seven new dungeons
  • Three new raids
  • A new chronicle
  • Dimensions: Customizable spaces allow players and guilds to own a sliver of Telara
  • Grandmaster crafting
  • New backslot for gear
  • New puzzles, artifacts and collectables, achievements, mounts, pets and titles.
