Guys, it’s cool to read comic books now. Hell, opening one up in public will not result in an instant wedgie or having to earn the trust of your local rugby team by allowing them to copy off of your computer studies test sheet. Thing is, comics can be expensive. And while I’ll always prefer print over digital comics, that online option is a great way of encouraging new readers to jump in. And now you can do just that, for cheap.
But you’re going to need to move your ass. For around R10 or 75 US of A cents, you can get a full month of Marvel on your tablet. That’s very little money for access to the home of comics such as the Amazing Spider-Man, the Uncanny X-Men and the Fantastic “Cough screw you FOX Cough!” Four.
A subscription to Marvel Unlimited usually runs around $9.99 per month, but enter MARVEL75 at checkout and you’ll get the discount. As I said, a great way to get into comics. You can read online or offline, and the digital archive is plenty vast and decently updated.
There’s a ton of great sagas to read through. Like the first Secret Wars, the recent relaunch of Marvel Now comics which injected new life into the brand and the absolutely epic Infinity series. Throw in events such as Civil War and Secret Invasion, and you’re ready for whatever the next crop of Marvel movies throws at you.
Pretty neat deal, I reckon.

Reading comic books is awesome, but only then do you see how they butcher the story on the big screen

EXCEPT Watchmen. That was as true to the graphic novel as could be.

Rorschach and Dr Manhattan had some serious dialogue that left a lasting impression. Wish I could think of cool quotes like that :/

SO is this for just one month, or a whole year / whatever?
Freaking bargain either way, but it’d **totally** rock if it was for more than a month.

Only one month. Mickey Mouse needs new shoes.

I am tempted as sh*t, but you know, Marvel. F*ck Marvel.
And now that Darryn has said it, it is law. Man, with the amount of monthly titles I read (per month) my #sweg level, well:
