…Or at least his almost dashingly handsome doppleganger. After a Halloween festival, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel gets its first bit of substantive DLC in the form of one handsome bastard.
Arriving on November 11 as revealed by Gearbox at PAX, the Almost as Handsome Jack copycat packs a special skill that allows him to spawn two “Digi-Jacks” who will run ahead and battle enemies on his behalf, respawning until the timer runs out. What this means is that you have a chance to spawn four more Handsome Jacks in the room at the same time once you’ve poured some effort into the relevant skill tree, which makes for one good-lookin’ massacre.
The actual nitty gritty details still need to be revealed, but Gearbox confirmed that Jack’s abilities can be augmented by collecting cash in the game. In other words, super-capitalism powers. The man who would be Jack will be part of the season pass content that will run you a few dollars more, and will include a new story campaign and possibly another DLC character who goes by the name of the Baroness.
I dug the actual Jack in the Pre-Sequel. His character arc was interesting, entertaining and downright shocking at times. But it made sense, and it gave the Hyperion CEO enough backstory to actually justify his actions. Well, according to him at least. He still owes me a turbo-mansion however after I saved his ass in the opening level, something which I never received.
Handsome Bastard. Oh who am I kidding, it’s hard to be angry at that face!

I knocked one off the backlog yesterday. Nice thing about short indie games is… they’re short. Technically I’ve knocked two off, just want to experiment a bit more with Stanley Parable before moving that to the completed category.

The problem is no matter how many games you cross off that steam backlog there will always be more

I don’t think I’ll ever get this. Borderlands fatigue has gotten to me. Just can’t bring myself to play the same game multiple times with different characters for a third time.
