And while the world continues to turn with monotonous regularity we have yet another online petition to try and convince a games publisher to do something different to what has been announced.

As you can tell I’m not a fan of online petitions in general as they are quite possibly the most useless things since.. queue the Skype chat

Erwin Kempff’s competition entries

Darryn’s reproductive organs

Garth’s razor blades

Yolanda’s shoes… bare foot in the kitchen.. you know.. okay I’m sorry that was bad

Geoff’s shower

the ANC’s anti corruption unit

the TSA

websites using AWStats to prove readership

Social Media Experts

cc’ing brands on twitter

#followfriday

but that hasn’t stopped people from creating them.

I’m posting about this one as the wording is different from usual. Instead of idiotic threats or downright anger the original poster has put together a logical and compassionate plea for help from Rockstar.

It goes like this

To:
Rockstar Games

Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.
I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it’ll make many people very happy!

Sincerely,
[Your name]

To date the petition has racked up 43 609 signatures, or about 0.01% of the people who are actually going to buy the game.

Rockstar are obviously not going to be swayed by the number of signatures but maybe the wording will hit home somewhere?

… that was fun, what other completely useless things can you think of?
