Not even a Jedi mind trick is going to get THQ a booth at E3

THQ

THQ’s financials are starting to look better but unfortunately big events like E3 take months to plan and when they needed to make the decision on whether to have a booth or not at E3 a few months back they didn’t have 2 cents to rub together so the decision was made to skip E3 this year.

Since then however things have started looking up and while they now would like to get in on the action the window has closed and therefore you won’t be seeing a THQ booth at E3 this year at all.

That’s not to say they won’t be there in some form or another, they are going to be submitting their games to the judging panels at the event and they will have a press centre at the show for meetings and discreet viewings of some of their key upcoming titles.

I personally don’t think this will affect them that negatively with a lot already being known about Darksiders 2 but it will be a disappointment for those attending E3 2012 as THQ’s booth is generally one of the most awesome experiences at the event.
