Real gamers play retro classics, not hyped up Triple A titles that cost the same amount of cash as a small Polynesian island! And fulfilling that urge, is the Neo Geo, a console from yesteryear, repackaged and arriving at a knockout price later this year!
And by knockout, we mean a straight right KO blow to your wallet. The Neo Geo X Gold handheld console launches in December this year, and packs several pre-installed games, a docking station that is also a video out station and an “expandable game card slot”, with an admittedly sexy fightstick.
The price for all this? $200, or around R1600 here. Don’t be too surprised if it retails closer to R2000, if it is ever imported. Here’s a list of the games included:
