Mortal Kombat is headed to the PS Vita You Really Care

Well, it’s not as if the iconic fighting franchise hasn’t graced every single other handheld device since it arrived so many years ago. And to be honest, an updated Mortal Kombat on the Vita would be just the right incentive for me to actually buy the device, especially if I could take my fatalities on the road.

Warner Bros Interactive has confirmed that the smash hit revival of their infamous, and gory, fighting franchise will be making an appearance on the Sony handheld device, komplete with a few extras as well.

Warner Bros has said that the vita version of Mortal Kombat will have "Brand new gameplay features and content developed exclusively for the new handheld device” and that more "will be revealed in the coming months".

Rather scant details there, but I’m hoping that the touch-screen interface gives me a little more control when I perform a fatality. Mortal Kombat on the Vita is set for an American Spring release, or Autumn for us southern Hemisphere dwellers.

Touch screen boob physics, that is all they are making this for…

That’s reason enough to buy a Vita. :P

Should make a bundle: MK, DoA, Soul Calibur. UBER BOOBIE BUNDLE!

Wow, tuned out after seeing all the images “redacted” on the articles today. Fuck what a joke. Way to go, putting it on ALL your articles. Why didn’t you redact all your freaking articles as well.

Yeah I know SOPA is the big bad wolf but hell there are better ways of getting your point across. All your readers pretty much know about it so what’s the point? Hey readers, let’s piss you off while reminding you about something that you already know about.

I am probably in the minority, but shit like this irks me.

    • Anonymous

The ION article isn’t redacted, it’s simply blocked over, if you highlight it, you can read what it says.  Complacency is the enemy here, and you’re encouraging complacency.

      • Purple Dragon

Read my comment. The images are redacted.

        Irony of ironies.

        • Anonymous

The Images aren’t redacted, it’s just a black image. Actually having the image there, with a black overlay with the words SOPA on it, would be a silly way to set this up.  But, I do understand your point. =)

          • Purple Dragon

Hi mate, just to clarify – I am not dumb.

Forgot the ” ” in my reply. The images are “redacted”.

          • Anonymous

Didn’t say you were dumb, didn’t notice the ” in your reply either so no harm there.  The images aren’t redacted, they’re simply linking to a different image. I promise you that.  For it to be a ‘redacted’ image, by definition, they would’ve taken each image, added a black overlay with the words STOP SOPA at the bottom.  Much easier to simply link everything to the same black image.

Of course, I’m splitting hairs here, but it’s true hehe.

          • Purple Dragon

Hence the “redacted”. After all that is what the image is trying to portray.

            Anyway, its all semantics!

Are you a NFL fan? I see Packers were surprisingly dumped out by Giants. Be interesting to see who makes the playoffs.

          • Purple Dragon

            Whoops, make that the Superbowl.

I live in New England, so I’m all about the Pats.  Patriots raped the Bronco’s on Saturday, was an insanely funny game (Not for the Bronco’s though, I suppose).  The game was over by the 2nd half lol.

It’s Ravens at Patriots on Sunday for the AFC Championship at 3pm

            and

Giants at 49ers on Sunday for the NFC Championship at 6:30pm

Patriots have a great shot at it this year, their offensive arsenal is pretty impressive.

          • Purple Dragon

I didn’t get to watch the Broncos Pats game. Was surprised when I heard the final score, it was supposed to be all about Tebow!

Unfortunately the timing doesn’t work for me and we only have ESPN and ESPN classic on DSTV so sometimes they don’t even show some of the games.

But I have been watching quite a bit of college football especially during bowl week. Alabama were too good, shut out in a final! Rose Bowl was good too with Oregon Ducks winning, I like them. The Stanford vs Oklahoma was a cracker too, can’t believe that guy missing kicks right in front.

I actually prefer watching college football, seems a lot more passionate. But everytime I watch a game I cannot believe how many people watch these games, even the normal season games.

But I will definitely try and watch the AFC and NFC championship games.

I just hope I get to the US one day. That is one thing on my bucket list, go to US and watch NFL and college football. Wouldn’t mind watching a game of baseball either. I actually wanted to move to US but hell of a hard getting a job there. But a long holiday one day will do just fine!

Good luck to your Patriots! Should be a Patriots Giants superbowl, although 49ers are playing well. Should all be good games.

            sportwebz.com

            firstrowsports.tv

Can watch games streamed there, I guess it’s for people out of the country, but since I hate comcast and terminated my service I use it from time to time.

I’ve actually never been to an NFL game, or an MLB game, or College football, or NHL Hockey, or any of that.  Living in Vermont, I’d have to drive pretty far just to see it, and…well, I’m Irish, and I like the booze, so I wouldn’t want to drive back lol.  I saw a College Hockey game at UVM once.  But yeah, I tend to just watch them from home, because paying stadium prices for alcohol + an Irishman….ooof.  Hehehe.

Pats v Giants Superbowl should be awesome, Pats lost to the Giants earlier this year, but the Pats didn’t have Aaron Hernandez that game (Knee Injury), and their Offensive Juggernaut is heavily stunted without their Two TE Monsters (Hernandez + Gronkowski) + Welker + Branch.

Raven’s have a daunting D, however, they’re aging, and the Pats no-huddle offense could seriously cause problems to that (Like it has with every team this year).  They went full, no-huddle for the entire Bronco’s game and just steamrolled them.  5 TD passes in the first half (NFL Record), 6 TD’s overall (T-NFL Record).  The Bronco’s are lucky the Patriots took their foot off the gas pedal in 2nd half.  It could’ve gotten way ugly. haha.  Tebow never had a chance.
