More Rockstar Employee Complaints

What is going on over at Rockstar? Just a few months back we all thought that working for Rockstar would be a dream come true and the company has always portrayed themselves as an awesome company.

But the employee complaints are now coming thick and fast and in this latest setback the employee is also bringing down Max Payne with him.

Apparently the game, being developed in the Vancouver issue, has once again had it’s story rewritten (3rd time in 2 years) and is now highly unlikely to make it’s August deadline.

Rockstar management however isn’t quit ready to let it miss it’s deadline and are now enforcing 16 hour work days and all leave has been cancelled.

That seems incredibly harsh and at the same time a little unbelievable. I am starting to get the sense that the few unhappy employees are now jumping on the bandwagon and causing an internal riot.

Either way Rockstar are going to have to do something about this before it goes to far and tarnishes their reputation, especially as they are preparing to release Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne within 6 months of each other.

The only response yet received from Rockstar is this awesome wallpaper they released to mock the Eye of Sauron comments.

I’ve always felt that Rockstar were just the wrong studio to be making a Max Payne game – one that’s in the spirit of the originals, at least, and it seems that misgiving is ringing true.

It’s a pity Remedy’s been so busy with “been far too long in development” Alan Wake.

My mates Sister is dating a former employee of R*, he quit last week for this exact reason. I though he was just being lazy, but I guess it is actually really that bad there at the moment. 16hrs a day is insane, I would also quit.
