So the release date for Activision’s The Walking Dead game has been revealed, it’ll not only release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 anymore, it’ll also be released on the…

Wii U! What a surprise. But how soon will there be another zombie game that comes along and beats or is just as good as ZombiU, which Geoff scored an 8.3 in his gruesomely handsome review on this console? Not very likely as soon as March – maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised (fingers crossed!).

It must really suck for Activision and AMC to have a TV show and release a game as a prequel to it only to have an already super awesome successful game with the same name (mostly) released by some one else, Telltale. It would seem that this game has cast a rather large shadow for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct to come out of. It’ll have to be mind blowing for gamers not to compare it to the current The Walking Dead, even though they really aren’t the same in the sense of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct being mainly a FPS game and The Walking Dead just being so good that you almost can’t define the genre.

Apart from those minor “almost-complications”, do we really need MOAR ZOMBIES? Really? Because some how it feels like it’s being overdone and soon we’ll lose our taste for it because people are abusing the concept to hell. We loved Left 4 Dead for it’s co-op and enjoy the mindless hours of fun playing CoD zombies and then we have this incredible experience with The Walking Dead and now, well, it’s just becoming dumb. I mean we were all hyped up about Dead Island after that goosebump inspiring trailer, but not even that lived up to it’s reputation. So how will The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct win our hearts with very little advertising/marketing and a theme that’s becoming tired with just about one exception?

It’ll have to be bloody brilliant.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will follow the story of brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon, Norman Reedus and Micheal Rooker who play these characters on the show will resume their roles in the game as well.

The game is set to release on 26 March in North America and 29 March for the rest of us mere mortals.
