Listen to the entire Destiny Beta soundtrack

Destiny7 1920

The Destiny Beta sorta consumed people while it was open. It wasn’t just a cool game to play, it was aesthetically stunning – visually and aurally. While we can’t give you more gameplay before launch, at least we can remind you of how awesome it sounded while playing.

The score, written by Marty O’Donnell, will probably be just as iconic as that for Halo. It’s really impressive and will make those who like soundtracks (I’m looking at you, Umar) very happy. Here is a version of the entire soundtrack on YouTube:

Be aware, this isn’t an official rip of the soundtrack, so Bungie might have it taken down. In the meantime, we can all enjoy being transported to all the various locations via sound instead of gameplay. The game is only a few short weeks away from launch – here’s hoping that this helps to tide you all over until then.

Do you think this soundtrack embodies the game? Does listening to it bring back specific memories from your time in the Beta, or are you not such an audio person? I love certain game soundtracks, but they have to be particularly fantastic. I’m very impressed with the Destiny music thus far, although I’m curious to hear it when the game is competed and launched. Other favorite soundtracks include the one for Nier and for Transistor. Which games do you think had the best soundtracks, or does none of this really matter for your gameplay experience?

And this came at a time when I’m up late working. This was truly sent from the gods above! I must say, while I’m not completely crazy about Destiny, this soundtrack is utterly superb…Wow, The Last Array and Sepiks Prime seriously blew me away!

This is pretty awesome. Best soundtrack for a game, in my opinion, is Total Annihilation. Was released on CD’s (remember those?) so worked on my hifi – loved that game.

    Thanks for the music.

I generally don’t pay much attention to the background music when I’m playing but I consider the soundtrack to be an important part of any collector’s edition.

Most of the Final Fantasy games have amazing soundtracks.
