Tis the season and all that jazz, which means we need to combine festivities with helping others. What better way to do that then to have a gaming marathon to raise money for the children? So we’re teaming up with The H.I.V.E. for an end of year function for an awesome cause.
On Wednesday, 11 December we will kick off our “12 Hours of Gaming for 12 Days of Christmas” fund raiser. From noon until midnight on Wednesday, you can come to The H.I.V.E. and play games to help raise money for the TLC Children’s Home for orphaned or abandoned children. Geoff, Gavin and I will all be there, although maybe not for the full 12 hours. Anyway, you can challenge us to some games, although no FPS titles for me. Energy eSports will also be joining in – their Dota 2 team will be showing off with some exhibition matches from Cape Town while their local guys will be available to challenge or play alongside.
This is sort of our year-end function as well, so please come through and chat to us and each other. Want to challenge Gavin to some COD? Or how about some League of Legends? Play against each other, or just hang out, donate to charity and enjoy chatting in person. We’ll see you there!

Yeah, it’s just taking place on Wednesday from noon til midnight. might not be there for 12 hours straight, but will definitely be around and ready for the challenge 🙂

I think a great charity event would be to have OVG drink a beer for every R100 put down. A standard Saturday is a R1200 affair, so could raise loads!
