PS4 console

As you may or may not have noticed, we’re giving away a PlayStation 4 as well as a Sony Xperia Z3. I love my PS4, and I’m currently using the Z3 so that I can review it for all of you, and I might not give it back. If you don’t already have a new console, this might help you decide which one to buy – can we officially call 2015 the year of the PS4?

Exclusives

The main thing will be exclusives, of course. While some games might come to a variety of platforms, it’s the major exclusives that help ship a console. So here are the announced exclusives for PlayStation platforms coming next year.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne tgs 2

You liked Dark Souls and/or Demon’s Souls and you’re looking for even more punishment, this time with even more glorious visuals? Prepare for Bloodborne, a ridiculously difficult and intense RPG that is promising to be the best creation out of From Software.

The Order: 1886

The Order banner

With some ridiculously impressive visuals and an awesome steampunk aesthetic is one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Thanks the power of the PS4, environments are properly built using the properties of the various materials, adding weight and volume to the experience. Plus, you get to shoot werewolves. Could we ask for more?

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4

Naughty Dog is promising to thrill us again with Uncharted 4. Rejoin Nathan Drake as he is forced back into the world of thieves in what looks to be the most gorgeous iteration in the franchise. Following on the success of The Last of Us, we are all waiting with bated breath to see what Naughty Dog can do next.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn

Promised for 2015 although we haven’t heard anything lately, Until Dawn is a survival horror game from Supermassive Games. It might just make 2015 the year we become afraid of the dark again.

Major multi-platform games

But you won’t only play exclusives on your PS4, you’ll also get to play the games that come to a variety of platforms. Here are just some of the biggest cross platform games that are coming to PS4 in 2015 – yes, there are even more, so this is just a selection. I’m not even going to mention the annual releases like Assassin’s Creed or Call of Duty.

Batman Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight

The latest Batman games have been incredible, and based on what we’ve seen of Arkham Knight, this one might just be the best of the bunch. With a massive city rendered beautifully on PS4, you will joyfully beat up villains and cruise around in your Batmobile.

Dying Light

Dying light

Just when you thought zombies were so passé, Dying Light appeared to make them new again. Filled with parkour and genuine fear, killing zombies is fun again – you can even play with asymmetrical multiplayer.

Evolve

Evolve multiplayer

Winning tons of awards at E3, Evolve is one of the most anticipated multiplayer games coming next year. With the boss being played by a human, no battle is ever the same as players can take on the role of hunter or monster. Asymmetrical multiplayer might just be at its best with Evolve.

Final Fantasy Type-0

FF type 0

While marketed on the fact that you can get the Final Fantasy XV demo when you preorder the game, Final Fantasy Type-0 actually looks like a fantastic experience in its own right. Beyond looking gorgeous, the characters and story also seem compelling – finally a JRPG for the new consoles that we can be excited about.

Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom hearts 3

Do you like Disney? Do you like JRPGs? Then you’ve probably played Kingdom Hearts. Now the epic key sword is getting a new iteration in the franchise, and it will make fans and newcomers alike happy. Built purposely for new consoles, it promises to bring the franchise to a whole new level.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

MGS5 pp

Combining traditional Metal Gear Solid gameplay with a vast open world and some base management, the Phantom Pain not only looks gorgeous but also seems deep and varied in gameplay. Prepare to be the boss again as you slip into your cardboard box and take down every bad guy on the screen.

Mortal Kombat X

MKX scorpion

With fluid movement and incredible animation, MKX already has my nomination for best fighting game of 2015. It looks and feels amazing, and the X-Ray abilities make me cringe and smile at the same time. Call dibs on your favorite character and prepare to finish him!

Project CARS

Project Cars

Are you ready for some ridiculously realistic motorsport? Project Cars might just surpass Forza, Gran Turismo or any of the other newcomers. With all the vroom vroom action you can handle, Project CARS was crowd funded (CARS actually stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator) and has excellent support from the motorsport industry. If you like to race, Project CARS is a must play – designed by gamers, for gamers.

Tropico 5

Tropico 5

Do you have a little dictator in you? Want to run your own banana republic with an iron fist, or maybe just be a corrupt criminal in charge? The island is your oyster with Tropico 5 as the PC strategy game comes to PS4 in 2015. Build up your island’s economy and “take care of” your political competition as you explore the world of dictatorship simulation.

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Various types of enemies require different approach

The Witcher 3 is one of the most anticipated games on 2015, and it will look mighty impressive on PS4. With an epic scope, journey as Geralt of Rivia as you take down monsters and travel the enormous world. With a deep story and tons of side quests, The Witcher 3 promises to set a new bar for RPGs.

Which games are you excited for in 2015? Will you be playing them on PS4? If you haven’t already, be sure to enter our giveaway and Demand Great – sorry, only residents of South Africa can enter.

There’s literally only 1 game in that list that I want to play. Witcher 3. And I can get that on my PC.

So tbh, 2015 is the year of the “don’t waste your money on a console.”

Hahaha GTX 980 struggling at 1080p for 30 fps ? mention the game or it didn’t happened and oh cut the crap about dying platform already, I am hearing this retarded myth from my childhood.

More and more console exclusives are ending up on PC, (Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Metal Gear) and Dark Souls series already making a proper place in PC gaming, even fighting games are getting popular here so find a new argument to support your peasant hardware.

From what I see consoles are dying, they are new and came after several years of R&D and yet they cannot run games at 1080p @ 60 fps, most of the time it’s all about 900p vs 720p @ 30 fps and even there they get fps dips to around 25 – 20 so yeah next get lol.

LOL.Consoles strugggling to run ni 1080p 30fps.tell me which game does that.the lies which you pathetic pc noobs tell is ridiclous.and gtx 980 struggles to run any of the latest games even in 30 fps lol try to run ac unity farcry 4 or even crysis 3 and it cant even handle shit.and consoles are not dying they sild combines 20 million within a year.and name any game release on console it sells 1 million in a month whereas pc struggles to sell even 50k copies.and by the way the main console exclusives like gow halo or uncharted wont come to pc.hell even you so calleddark souls is making a console exclusive.only games made by crytek shit get ported to pc that too because shitvidia pays them money and asks to gimp console versions to promote their bullcrap eworthless peasant pc hardware.so actually pc gaming isding and will become extint because no one is intereated in pc and even a 500$card struggles to run games decently.
