It is hard to manage your inventory in Dragon Age: Inquisition, especially when not all “valuables” are junk. Is it safe to sell all? As you progress, you may not want to sell off every underpowered dagger, sword or staff. But Bioware has listened to us, at last.
In a blog post about Patch 5 coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition, they explain a new element that’s coming in the latest patch:
In Skyhold, we’re adding party storage to the Undercroft—a new feature that many players asked for and we’re happy to finally add. And for those looking to spice up their look, we’ve added an item tinter that lets players use crafting materials to change the color of armor.
Patch 5 is actually part of a beta program which PC players can enlist in. It will include a range of new features such as the Black Emporium, an underground shop run by an immortal proprietor where Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools, epic equipment and even customize their voice and appearance. Other patch features will include an auto-attack key for single player. They claim that this is to “support different playstyles” but I honestly do wonder about people who use auto-attacks and auto-leveling. If you’re not even interesting in selecting abilities for your characters in combat or progression, why are you bothering with an RPG?
You’ll be able to sign up for the Beta program through the Keep in the near future, so if you’re interested, keep an eye out for that. I played the game on console, so I won’t get to test drive these features for you. Still, I really like that they’re adding in the inventory management element; that has to be one of the biggest issues with the original game. I’m glad Bioware listened to us about this, although I’m still confused why it was left out of the original game.

Okay, Why wasn’t it there in the first place? Did EA want to sell Storage as DLC? Or have Bioware just become so out of touch with RPGs ?

Not sure I agree with you. DA:I has never struck me as a game like Diablo where the point is weapon farming and set collecting. In a game like that you need storage. I have never felt the need for storage in DA.

Indeed. the only people who had storage issues are hoarders. Same thing happened in Mass Effect 1 with people complaining about storage. Little tip … you don’t need the 50 lvl 1 weapon mods anymore when you are level 20!

The other thing I want is to be able to customise the casual clothing.
A proper dress for my FemInquisitor would also be nice for the winter palace.

Its great they are supporting this game, but I can not find the energy to replay this. the first play took about a 100 hours.

I always replay these games when several DLC are out. Then, enough time has sort of passed and new content and stuff. BUT, the 2nd play through is much, much, faster.

Please say it will be a better storage system than Skyrim on xbox360. Was such an irritation to manage, even though it was sectioned it took me forever to find specific things..maybe I am just a hoarder :p
I am quite excited, I have not bought my copy of DA:I yet, should I wait till game of the year or just go balls deep now?
