Here’s the first 1080p Destiny footage for Xbox One

PlayStation gamers have been enjoying some Destiny goodness the entire weekend. Xbox fans are still waiting on the sidelines, but tomorrow the beta finally launches for Microsoft’s consoles. The beta runs at its full 1080p on the PS4, but last week Bungie confirmed that it wouldn’t reach that on the Xbox One. Thankfully, that’s only for the beta though.

When Destiny is released in September, Bungie is planning to have the PS4 and Xbox One versions running at the same resolution and framerate. That means the 900p resolution of the beta on the Xbox One is definitely not final. So the question on Xbox fans’ minds is just how pretty Destiny will actually look when it arrives.

Thanks to IGN, we now have a little glimpse. There’s nothing notably different between the PS4 and Xbox One versions, and fans can rest assured that Destiny looks every bit as gorgeous on Microsoft’s console as it does on Sony’s. That good news, especially since many are still hurt that Bungie supposedly abandoned them for the warm embrace of Sony.

You can check out some of the Xbox One footage below, and get another look at one of this year’s most exciting titles. I’m definitely jumping back into the beta tomorrow, this time as Destiny’s version of a Jedi.

  1. I’ve been looking at my Destiny account and it turns out that what I thought was roughly 1 hour of play was actually only 30 minutes.

On a side note, WHY CAN’T I BE AT HOME PLAYING DESTINY INSTEAD OF DOING F#$K ALL AT WORK!!! %^&$%&^*#&$^&*!

All good and well with NO action on the screen.

What happens in the midst of combat and carnage?

EDIT, ok saw some combat, but still, my question remains

Probably means the game can run at 1720 on the PS4, no wonder it is so smooth :):):)

“many are still hurt that Bungie supposedly abandoned them” I can’t stop laughing at this. How juvenile can you get.

Its funny that the promise of next gen was HD, a year later and only 1 or 2 games can run 1080p. In the meantime the first affordable 4k 32′ monitor is out and can be purchased for $600 usd.

    Heres the kicker ……

Most of the bad console ports runs over 60fps at 4k on a single R9 280 or GTX 770….

I think it’s the cost of the x86 APU that blew the cost of the next-gen consoles out of the water. It’s surprising that AMD went on and released the R7 and R9 cards, with a tweaked architecture, a few months after these consoles launched.

Your average R7 260X OC can do 1080p/60fps with most games and with proper AA filters.

More like Sony/MS tried to cut costs around every corner to push out inferior systems. Granted they are nice compared to the previous gen but they skimped to much. They would have done better making it modular so you can add ram or upgrade the apu later.

AMD designed a product inside the budget and specs that was provided by Sony/MS not the other way around.

They should have pumped more money into r&d than have this expensive marketing campaigns but hey I guess the console guys are happy.

You know what else is funny? If they hadn’t made all these claims of HD and being stronger than current gen pc’s they would have been much better received.

Think about it. Most of the hate is because they can’t deliver on what they promised. If they hadn’t promised then the stuff coming out now would have blown people away because lets be honest. Compared to previous gen consoles the stuff now is incredible. So incredibly sad that the hype is what destroyed them

Im talking about playing actual games not the gui resolution…. DERP DE DERP yah

You know that reason you got a console for in the first place, to play actual games rofl!!!!!

Xbone playing games at 4k with a patch whahahahahahaha dream on you are delusional.

Xbone games in 3d with a patch whahahahahaahhahaah even funnier. The Xbone can barely handle running games at 30fps on 1080p what makes you think it can project 2x those images at 60fps each to be able to play 3d games without motion sickness.

Not to mention that your HDMI cable does not have enough data bandwidth to do 1080p in 3d with games.

BTW what kind of bottom feeder are you to upvote your own comment ?
