Half Life 3 being worked on right now

Half life 3 left 4 dead

The internet is desperate, I know. We claw for any hints at a Half Life 3 announcement – the fact that I’m going to E3 for the first time in 2014 must mean it’s happening. I mean, Z is the 26th letter in the alphabet, 4 (from 2014) plus H (8) and L (12) is 26. Combine with E3, and it’s confirmed. But now, there is something far more concrete as evidence.

Former Valve employee, Minh “Gooseman” Le told goRGNtv that he has seen concept art for Half-Life 3, as well as a build for a new Left 4 Dead. What else did he have to say?

I don’t think I can talk about that, to be honest, but I think it’s kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on. And so if I were to say that yeah, I’ve seen some images, like some concept art of it, that wouldn’t be big news to be honest.

But yeah, I mean like I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I said they’re doing it, they’re working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I’d say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3.

Could E3 2014 finally be the time for the announcement? I wouldn’t count on it, to be honest. But still, at least take what little consolation that you can from the fact that HL3 and L4D3 are coming. One day.

Ah yes, the mythical Half Life 3.

Hear Elvis, 2Pac and Michael Jackson are the developers on that one. Oh, and a unicorn.

Yup, John Lennon is overseeing the project – his last hoorah if you will.

Sounds more like they’re still in the conceptual planning and haven’t even started on anything more than throwing random ideas around to see if Gabe will pick up on them.

I give it another 3 ~ 5 years before an official HL3 announcement (if ever).

I have this bet that HL3 will be the first Source2.0 engine game.

My theory is… when Valve’s vid logo thingy (with valve on back of dude’s head) changes… this will herald a new era for Valve and HL3, L4D3, Portal 3 etc. etc. will be released 😀

    Valve-eye man = HL1 … Valve-head man = HL2 … Cracked the code Maaannn !!

Just read… Valve-eye is called “open your eyes”, Valve-head is called “open your mind” … lets hope the third iteration is not “Open your wallet” ! haha

It’ll be titled “Open your heart” with the one after that being called “Open your soul”.

No game could realistically match the hype.

Imagine. The best game ever would reviewed something like, “Well it was great, but” Then we would get long articles on why it is actually not very good (ala Skyrim) , written by people who spent more than 100 hours researching. Scratch that:. 500 hours

      You mean 4 + 8 + 12 is not 26 but only 24, but what comes between 2 and 4, I think you’ll find its a 3.

This game is total vapourware. I’ve had three children since HL2 came out. My son is 8. Two of the children occured since Episode 2 and the eldest of those is 5 in October. Since HL2 came out, both my parents and one of my friends have died. This game is NEVER coming out. Trust.

It’s been so long on coming that I really can’t drum up that much enthusiasm; looks like I will pick it up in one of the Steam sales in a few years if it ever does come out.

If its being worked on now, we’ll see it around 2020 then… Thats how long HL2 took to be developed 😉

I don’t believe it for a second. Valve will sit on their asses promising jack about the HL franchise until the sun goes cold…
