Guild Wars 2 Refer a Friend free trail

ArenaNet will be launching the Refer a Friend Free trial in a couple of days where you can give up to three friends three days of game time, for free!

Martin Kerstein, Head of Global Community posted a forum writing that the free trial will launch on 12 November, where your invited friend can play Guild Wars 2 for free from 15 – 18 November. However, players interested in sending out these invitations will need to have a Guild wars 2 account in good standing that was created before 7:59 pm GMT (9:59 pm for South Africans) on 6 November.

No other details have been released about the program, according to the forum post more details will be revealed once the program goes live. This is a great initiative from ArenaNet adding to the awesome fact that it’s subscription free. Is ArenaNet casting a net to see how much interest there is in free trials similar to the ones in other MMO’s like World of Warcraft and Rift? Only time will tell. I wouldn’t be too surprised though if they announced a free trial program where any one can sign up and play to a certain level cap indefinitely or number of days in the near future.
