Guild Wars 2 limited beta sign ups have opened up Getting There
   February 23rd, 2012 clock image 8:00 am

GuildWars2

One of the most anticipated games of 2012, Guild Wars 2, is nearing completion and now the development team wants your help.

Yes they have announced this morning that they are now taking applications for beta testers for the upcoming MMO title and all you need to do to be part of the beta is click here and follow some simple instructions.

But remember this beta really is limited and they are actually using it as a technology beta and not so much as a marketing tool so the way it works is that you need to download an app that will test your system out and send them back the technical specs.

They’ll then cherry pick certain specs out of all the applicants and come back to you to confirm your invite.

That’s it really, you will need to sign an NDA promising you won’t post any news or pictures of the game and that you won’t send anything to the media. As the media we are hoping you don’t stick by that and we get secret tips in the inbox but it is illegal and you could be punished for it.

The rumour about free cookies for all images may or may not be true…

Okay that’s that, go sign up by clicking here

Kinda wish the gaming sites wouldn’t tell everyone so the fans that follow the tweets and are on the mailing list have more chance of gettiing in

    • AndriyP

Shuddup Tarisma, imagine if LG didnt tell us about these things…they would

      A. Suck bollocks
      B. Not look out for the community
      C. Suck some more
      D. allow other gaming sites to be more awesome

      • Tarisma

Not just LG I wish every site was all over IGN gamespor etc at 9pm last night when the news broke.

        • AndriyP

Just because im not following some tweets or im not on a mailing list it doesnt make me less of a fan so i want in just as much as other people

          • Tarisma

No im not saying ur not a fan im just saying that would be nice if there was a way for the loyal fans to be rewarded, i mean look at the guys that run sites like guildwarsforum etc they dedicate huge amounts of time to the game, also lotsa people from SA must sign up so hopefully one of us get in and any ping related problems will be sorted out during the beta.

          • RobbieH76

Tarisma, are you going to host us a local server? :P

    • http://www.lazygamer.net Gavin Mannion

I know how you feel to be honest but we’d be doing a disservice to real fans without twitter or email :)

      • AndriyP
