Grab this discounted World of Warcraft expansion bundle

A long, long time ago I booted up World of Warcraft for the first time and gave it a try. Unlike millions of others in my position, I did not stay past the first 20 or so levels. So these discounts aren’t exactly for people like me to try and get back into Blizzard’s genre defying MMO. Instead, they’re for people still a bit behind on some key expansions.

Warlords of Draenor is coming out in just a few weeks, making it the perfect time for past WoW addicts to hip aboard again and try get up to speed. The upcoming expansion does look pretty great, especially when help up against some of the more recent expansions Blizzard has let loose. Still, every expansion is crucial (most of the time) to the WoW experience, and there’s not much time to catch up.

Hell, what if you don’t even own the damn things? Blizzard has you covered. On the Battle.Net store you’ll be able to find the first three WoW expansions bundled together for $19.99. Mists of Pandaria isn’t there since all subscribers were gifted the content for free a few weeks ago. The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm can all be yours for a greatly reduced fee, just in time for the new expansion.

World of Warcraft has been steadily losing subscribers of the last few months, but the weeks leading up to Warlords of Draenor have actually lead to a bit of a surge in returning players. Could this be the kick in the rear that the MMO needs?

Man if only I could go back in time to play vanilla WoW and experience first hand the Burning Crusade expansion, before jumping ship 😛

Battle.net story time. So let me tell about a little Battle.net event I experienced this morning. I decided to sign up for the HoS beta, only to get met by the wonderful response of “Invalid Password”. So silly me thinks I can just request a password update. Not a sausage. I had to log a ticket as the security question bit was a new inclusion since my last login. Anyway. I log a support ticket to which they reply that I need to provide proof of identity. Now how in hells name is that going to prove anything. I never had to produce identification when I purchased the game yet now they want pictures of me and such WTF. Next I wanted to reply to their mail… hmmm… no go there noreply@bliizzard.net. So I click the link in the mail for replying to the ticket. But that requires a login. Now I start fuming 30 support tickets later and much annoyance I decide to go old school and button mash every password I have ever used. Finally success. Now in a fit of rage I may have got myself banned with some of my feedback’s choice words. Something I am pretty proud of I might add. Now I for one will never ever touch another Actizzard game again. The once great gaming house is now a spiralling pit of doom that deserver no more of my monies.
And thus story time is concluded.

TL;DR Actizzard suck. no more monies for them

There is a option where you insert the serial-key(cd-key) of any blizzard game you own to reset your password.

Not defending them but they get thousands upon thousands of hacked accounts. The inconvenience was your fault for not storing/remembering your password I am sorry to say.

Woh hold the bus. Its my fault that Battlenet doesnt have a simple enough recovery method that does not require formal identification on a login service. Show me a site that doesnt allow for simple recovery. Fact of the matter is that we have a lot of passwords. Cater for it. Our sites do, hell every other site does. It all falls under poor website design. May as well run their services from php 😛 Sorry but im just starting to get gatvol with production houses that are willing to charge an arm and a leg for services but not provide a premium level service (which is what we are paying for as the collective)

I think a simple OTP would suffice in my opinion. It’s a nightmare trying to unlock a Blizz account.
