It’s about two weeks until we see the next (previous?) chapter in the God of War Saga with the prequel, God of War: Ascension. It’s probably the very last one we’ll see on the current gen – and by all accounts quite nearly maximises the PlayStation 3’s potential . You can now see it for yourself, because the game’s single player demo is now available to all PS3 users worldwide. Sony’s also released a brand new trailer for the game, which you can see after the jump.
I was wowed by God of War 3 on a technical level, but left wanting by the actual gameplay and narrative – which I’m hoping Ascension can make up for.
It could just. Seems that even before his fall, Kratos was a little bit on the angry side.
As an additional bonus, the HD remaster of the very first God of War is now completely free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Hurry though; it’ll only be available for the next two weeks.

Please, keep the puzzles to the minimum… Or at least make them entertaining. I was so put off by the constant puzzles. They weren’t even hard, just annoying.

Yis, I am gearing up for gaming marathons starting from next Tuesday. Bliksem, Tomb Raider, God of War, Bioshock Infinite, never mind my backlog!! I still have to play Gears of War 1, 2 and 3 on the XBox I recently bought, then I can get new Gears of War!!!
