So you think you’re ‘ard, do you? Okay, I believe you. No need to rearrange my face with a crowbar to prove that! Still, you’re not the only tough guys out there when it comes to online fighting games, and according to Highlander rules, there can be only one! Time to see who’s the best, at third outing of Sodium Overload then.
Taking place at the AnimeWorx Brightwater Commons shop in Randburg, the final tournament of the year is pulling out all the stops, for one big event. Entrance to the tourney is R50, and will include the following games with which to wiggle your joysticks at;
- Blazblue
- Marvel vs Capcom 3
- King Of Fighters XIII
- Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition
- Soul Calibur V
- Dead Or Alive 5
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2
- TTT2 2v2
- TTT2 Team Battles.
All tournaments will operate on Double Elimnation rules, with the first and second place guys receiving a percentage of the pot on offer, 75% to the winner, 25% to the runner up. Vouchers will also be awarded, for redemption at AWX.
And as usual, the third place winner will get a bag of salt. Aye, there’s the rub! Provincial pride will also be on the line, as JHB, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban will battle it out in five on five team matches in Tekken Tag Tournament as well. The only reason why PE isn’t there, is most likely because we ate the scouts that arrived here last week. Still, their salt powers are ours now!
