Because regular evolution is for chumps. And chumpettes. Am I right?

Get ready to start caring for Pokémon that you abandoned a long time ago for a few legendaries more, because Mega-Evolution is back with a bang in the upcoming remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. According to the latest issue of CoroCoro Magazine via Serebii, you can expect to be doing battle with upgraded versions of Latios, Latias, Pidgeot and Beedrill. Check ‘em out while I still squeal over my shiny Gengar that I picked up on the weekend:

According to the magazine, Mega Pidgeot is a Normal/Flying type with the No Guard ability, while Mega Beedrill becomes a Bug/Poison type with the Adaptability ability. Mega Latios is now an Omega Ruby exclusive, with its legendary equal Mega Latias being an Alpha Sapphire darling. Gotta buy ‘em all!

But they aren’t the only legendary Pokémon that will be popping up in the game, as apparently Dialga, Plakia, Reshiram and Zekrom will also be accessible via flight exploration. Other legendaries however, are being reserved for events it seems. Or for those of us who remembered to pay their Pokémon Bank fees.

The game is out in November on 3DS. I probably won’t shut up about it until then. Sorry guys.
