Since its release, the PlayStation 4 version of EA’s football simulator FIFA 15 has been causing pundits problems. Those problems include stuttering, wonky online connectivity and the uneasy feeling that you should have waited for PES 15. There’s a new patch that’s out to fix some of those problems.

Here’s what the new patch does, according to EA.

  • Fixed ‘search-by-name’ functionality in Career Mode
  • Added the latency indicator to FIFA 15 Ultimate Team so fans can view health of connection before entering an online match
  • Improved set-piece cameras in Online Seasons for Guest players
  • Corrected home crowds in Match Day Live matches
  • Fixed occurrences where the player would be unable to progress at the end of a FUT match due to the post-match menus not appearing
  • Fix to hospitality upgrades in Career Mode and Pro Clubs
  • Addressed exploit where players could infinitely switch kick-takers on set-pieces
  • Fixed occurrence where changes to the Subs and/or Reserves are not brought into Season matches

With regards to the stuttering issue, that won;t be fixed by this patch, but it is something EA is aware of and trying to nail down.

We believe we have made progress in our on-going investigation of the stuttering issues currently affecting a small percentage of PS4 users. If you’re affected by this issue please you can help us with our investigation by providing details to @EASPORTSFIFA on Twitter.

Are you experiencing any issues in FIFA 15 on the PS4?  Let us know, and let us know if the patch helps alleviate any of them.

I am staying the hell away from EA this generation. As a consumer I have the right to buy a fixed product. After seeing that the EA UFC is now on its 200th patch I decided to trade that shit in.
Just waiting for this “WE WILL FIX IT LATER” work model to screw Dragon Age 3 over.

Went and bought the game yesterday because I said I would wait for the first patch as there would be problems with the game….. Will wait for the second patch next year!! The game is still a mess online, connection to my opponent is yellow or green and then when you get in the game it is terrible!! And don’t think that a green connectivity is a good thing, it is even worse than the red one!!!
Also what the hell did they do to the keepers??? Don’t call out a keeper to play as a sweeper, he doesn’t dive on the ball he runs fucking past it and the guy has an open goal!!! When the other team kicks off your midfielders just split and let the guy run straight at your back 4??? Holy crap all things they worked seems broken now!! They are really testing my patience…..

I am so close to kicking my Fifa habbit it isn’t even funny!! It is as if they try and change things to make it worse!! The goalies in this version is a complete and utter joke!! They are very near useless if they guy is 1 on 1!!!

I don’t think there was anything wrong with being able to have a +3 or +5 to your online pro it’s not like it’s not fair to others we still had to play career mode to be able to get it, Put it back in the game!!!!!!!! ????????????????
