You know what’s better than playing games? Many, many other things but I’m contractually obligated not to mention them. Still playing games that you’ve bought with funds that are going straight to charity on the other hand, is an easy feel-good experience! And EA has teamed up with Humble Bundle for a sequel Origin special. Here’s what a whole dollar (or more) will get you.
Pay whatever you want, and you’ll get the following games unlocked:
- Dragon Age Origins
- Peggle
- Dead Space 2
- Medal Of Honour Allied Assault – War Chest
- Command and Conquer Generals + Zero Hour expansion
I’m not a massive Dragon Age fan myself, but Dead Space 2, Medal Of Honour and the infuriatingly addictive Peggle are all good deals to me. I’ve spent far, far too many hours matching orange pegs while that damn unicorn laughed at me. Bastard. Medal Of Honour in its classic World War 2 form may be a bit long in the tooth, but it’s still Medal Of Honour. It’s still a damn fine franchise, before it got turned into a Worf Fighter. Also Dead Space 2: The only game where you can get away with shooting necro-morphed infants. Bunch of screaming buggers.
And Command and Conquer Generals. Not my personal favourite, but it’s still one hell of a strategy game, worth experiencing. Here’s what you’ll get added to all that, if you pay more than the current average of $4.75:
- Dragon Age 2
- Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
- Mass Effect 2
- Bejeweled 3
Not bad! Not bad at all! I still think Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is an absolute gem, that deserves a ton more love. More games will be added to the second tier soon. I’m personally hoping for a Command and Conquer treasure chest, because my disc for Red Alert 2 met an unfortunate end recently. Daddy D needs to go digital, yo.
As usual, all proceeds go to charity.

That’s a pretty good bundle. I’m actually playing Dead Space right now and loving it! Dead Space is already installed so I can fall into that as soon as I’m done!

I’m tempted by C&C Generals, but I’ve got all the others except PvZ.

EA Humble… Oh hell no. EA ain’t fucking humble.
Don’t Support DRM. Don’t Support Origin.

Buy it, customise your breakdown, make sure all money goes to charity & EA gets zero. Real problem solved.

Don’t shoot yourself in the foot for charity. Charity gets $5 and you get Origin, yes both feet shot.

I already have Origin, it was mandatory for ME3.

Heh I would. Off-hand I can’t think of a game I’ve loved more than ME3. Hell, I’d even put up with uPlay to play ME3 if I had to, and that’s saying something.

It’s my least favourite ME game, 2 was the best. I haven’t even replayed it. The others I played 3/4 times each.

HEATHEN! ME2 is brilliant, love that too, but ME3 has *all* the feels, wonderfully emotive game 🙂

Origin is off my PC and will never be back. Never. I want to buy and play video games not fucking buy and play Origin.

EA is not an option for customising it.
It all goes to charity and the Humble Bundle people.

EA isn’t even an option – there is no slider for them. Only Charity and the Humble tip.

That’s actually pretty decent of EA, there was an option for them in their 1st bundle.

I’m pretty sure they’ll add ME3 later, and perhaps one or two of the older BF games.

And here I got excited about a game about unicorns 🙁
Time to go off and find whimsydale and murder some innocent unicorns in diablo instead.
Blood Emperor Trevor
April 15, 2015 at 07:59
You could do that in Overlord too, only those unicorns weren’t innocent, if I remember correctly.

There are some excellent titles in this bundle, and the crazy low buy-in makes it worth while to get it even if, like me, you already own most of it, on the off chance they add something you’d like that you don’t have.
