DragonAgeKeep

Whether or not you’re changing platforms for Dragon Age: Inquisition, you will need to recreate the world changing decisions that you made in the first two games. Those decisions will be kept in the Dragon Age Keep, which you can now go dive into.

I couldn’t even remember making so many decisions, but apparently I did in both Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. You can go create your own unique gameplay tapestry over at Dragon Age Keep. You will need to login with your Origin account that you intend to use for Dragon Age: Inquisition in order to make use of these choices in your new game. I’m rather surprised that they didn’t institute save data transfers, but I suppose this is better – it has actually helped remind me which decisions I made… at least for my first play throughs. It also made me realize that all those side activities that I loved to do so much really were optional; plenty of people apparently never even encountered some of those rich and varied characters.

I will happily import all my decisions to my new world – I’m curious which of these will matter, and in what ways. It’s also nice to see how the tapestry weaves together, although it does remind me that there appeared to be fewer choices in Dragon Age II than Dragon Age: Origins. With Dragon Age: Inquisition promising to be so big, I’m hoping that EA will automatically store all those decisions through Origin or the Dragon Age Keep; I doubt that I will be able to remember and transfer that entire tapestry of choices.

Go, give it a try. Just realize that you might lose more time than intended as you re-make all those decisions.

It doesn’t detect my DA:O character.
In fact, I think it only detected my first ever DA:O character… Must be one of the mods I installed.

7th gen was great for innovation. BIOWARE gave us the story wheel in Mass Effect and for the first time ever we carried our save files over.
Gears of War gave us an interactive reload system and I remember asking where the health bar was 🙂
Cover system was great. DEADSPACE lost the entire HUD and made it part of the character with his health bar on his back. Assassins creed showed us what 9trillion character animations looks like while scaling walls.
Another one from Glen Schofields DEADSPACE was the location router that Fable 2 ended up copying.
Project Gotham Racing gave us interior car driving with dynamic weather.
Mirrors Edge decided not to have GUNPLAY as the main priority.
GUITAR HERO WAS CRAZY FUN learning new hand eye input. The girls at work still owned me.
BATTLEFIELD had particle destruction with entire walls collapsing.

So far the 8th gen has provided the Nemesis System and that is why Shadow of Mordor is my GOTY.

I tell you dude, shoving a bastard sword into an Orcs face never gets boring.
It makes me look forward to the next BATMAN game because that simple combat system of not rushing the kill to counter attack another enemy who is flanking you is cool as fcuk.

I always get worried that there are sweet little girls out there like Gavins children reading my scathing remarks.

I dont even bother with the story lol. I just roam LIKE A BOSS and slay those horrible orcsies.

I am amazed at how many new animations I keep seeing and the collision detection is perfect.

I must say, now that I crush the orc’s head after each time I’ve gained intel it’s not as much fun anymore. The sword into the face really does not get old.

Remember how blown away we were at those slo mo rotation effects in The Matrix?
Well now we control the camera and its so SICK 🙂

I agree. I think the killing moves and the the slow motion actions make the game for me.

I really enjoy SoM, but I wouldn’t make it my GOTY. It’s just doesn’t feel that fresh.

Blame the poor start to the 8th gen. Im sure next year will be great but 2014 ws nothing but cross gen games, remastered, definitive and redone.
On the other side of that coin SONY won my wallet and I got to play the most enjoyable game I have ever played in HD for the first time after watching Zoe and everybody else oooooz nothing but love last year for TLOU 🙂

That is probably one of the games I most desperately want to get for my PS. I’ve only heard good things about it. But then Steam sales arrive and my budget goes out the window.

Never finished the first game, I got bored. Never bought the second game because I played the demo. Not going to buy the third game because of forced Origin DRM. If there was a non drm option, I might have giving the third game a try.

Anyway. The Witcher 3 is coming.

I never got into that Top Down combat. It was more for the PC owners who grew up with Stat games.
Im more for the hack and slash.

I played DA”O on Console and I loved it. For some reason, played 2 on PC and then on console. It was easily twice as fun on the console as the PC. The camera on the PC irritated the crap out of me an ruined the whole immersion.

I played all on PC. The first with kb and mouse, the second with a controller emulator and Origins with kb and mouse again (because no controller emulator worked properly for it)
Hated Origins because of the controls. I think I prefer controller for these kinds of games.

I have pretty much made the following decision:

Buy Xbox ONE with Kinect (I want it) in November
Cancel Shadows of Mordor Pre-order for 360
Buy Shadows of Mordor Xbox one
    Buy DA:I Xbox one
    Sleep in spare room
Move tv from main bedroom into spare room
Wait for baby to get older
    Have baby play with Kinect

this is purely because of the change from unreal 3.5 to frostbite 3. save game files are not compatible and this is probably a easier way of bringing games across instead of creating a save converter between the two engines.
