Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Collector’s Edition revealed

Gah, collector’s editions! Back, back I say! I’ve not got the money for you, nor shall I spend it even if I did! What’s that you say? This Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls collector’s edition has a nice-looking art book and DAMMIT STOP TEMPTING SATAN!

Battle.net has revealed the far more physical collector’s edition that’ll be accompanying Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls when it launches on March 25. Here’s what you’ll be getting your hands on when the game launches:

D3ROS

  • Behind the scenes Blu-Ray and DVD two disc set
  • Reaper of Souls soundtrack
  • Artbook: The art of Reaper of Souls
  • Malthael mouse pad
  • Diablo III spectra hound and aesthetic artefacts
  • World of Warcraft treasure goblin pet
  • Starcraft II Crusader portraits and Malthael decals

Locally, we’ve got a great track record with bringing in collector’s editions for Blizzard games. Expect to see this one on store shelves soon. In the US, this cost $79.99, so if you’re planning on importing it anyway, you might have to sell your children for medical experiments thanks to our terrible exchange rate.

Alternatively, you can also buy and pre-load the game now, which is the equivalent to buying a slice of cake and locking it in a glass safe. I’ve played the game on PlayStation 4 and rather enjoyed it, but if my incoherent ramblings offend thine PC platform ears, we also chained Matty Fig to a desk a while back to give you all a preview.

Sometimes I feel really bad that we forgot to release him when his work was done. Or give him water. Or put air-holes in his dome.

  1. No wonder MattyFeeg is always playing Dota. At least you gave him a PC and a net connection…

I already pre-ordered mine. Diablo franchise is probably the only thing I just throw my money at.

    Can’t wait for the release!

Blizzard survives on people like you. It doesn’t matter what state they release a title or how much they charge. Maybe take a moment to think about that. 😉

I am okay with it. I genuinely liked Diablo 3 and the extras that I got with the collectors. Which is why I am doing this again. I also bought the Book Of Cain which is awesome.

One thing about Blizzard that irritates me is the lack of new games being released. Very much rehashing of old ideas. I have totally left WoW and Starcraft though. Diablo is just so awesome to me and always has been.

I paid R899 for this and I agree that it is too much, but I want it. 😀

After reading about the number of people that have cancelled their CE order after playing the completely broken beta, no thanks.

I was burnt by blizzard on the initial release of its PC version. THE ONLY REASON I’m getting (read looking at getting) ROS is for the PS. Moar couch co op please.

They first had a limited 50 at R750, then a limited 100 at R900. Considering the exchange rate $79.99 falls around the R890 mark, that’s not too bad. BT Games is R925 and Takelot is R999.

I have Diablo 3… I will probably never re-install it, ever again… so they can keep Reaper of Souls.
