Diablo 3 midnight launches – Where, when and awesome!

So you’ve put your fingers through several shaolin temples of training in order to hone the Iron digit skills you’ll need. You’ve got a comfy chair, a high resolution monitor, online access and buns of steel.

It’s time to play some Diablo 3! But before you get the game, you have to buy it first, and if you aren’t expecting a friendly FedEx courier to show up on launch day, that means venturing outside to go procure yourself a copy.

But where can you find your treasured game, come Monday on a brisk May 14 night?

BT Games, one of the largest retailers in gaming is gearing up for the mother of all launches, as the following shops will be open until late:

I’ll be at the Walmer Park branch, so come say hi to the short guy with a camera that’s bigger than him. At the midnight launch Bt will also have a cosplay competition at the following stores : Blueroute, Tygervalley, Eastgate, Pavilion, Fourways and  Centurion. where winners could walk away with a R5000 btgames voucher, Diablo 3 collectors and a Diablo 3 hamper after a delayed public vote.

Online retailer Kalahari.com is also having a midnight event, right in Cape Town.

Zaps Online will also be hosting a midnight launch, at their store at the stick-poking capital that is the Brightwater Commons, complete with sword-fighting, a spit-braai and a mini-Tristram market. Look and Listen is planning a launch as well, and we’ll update this article as soon as we hear back from them.

So before you plonk your butt down for a rigorous session of gaming, mingle a bit, get to know your fellow gamers, and most importantly, have a great time!
