Destiny’s Beta coming in July

Destiny guardians

Destiny is a massive, online multiplayer shooting experience that might just change the way we see the FPS genre. It looks like it will be a whole bunch of fun, and really varied. Of course, everyone wants to give it a try and see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be. Don’t worry, you can play it soon.

Here is the official announcement via twitter:

So, E3 we’ll get some announcements and specifics, but at least we know to book out July for some beta pew pew action. Bungie has already assured gamers that the Beta will be a huge slice of content – it will offer plenty of kit and upgrades, as well as opportunities to engage in competitive multiplayer and strikes. If you want to be sure of grabbing Beta access, you’ll need to pre-order the game.

We keep debating if we can call Destiny an MMO. Bungie insists that it’s not an MMO. But it’s going to be huge, possibly even massive, and multiplayer, and online. Does that mean we should expect something like Borderlands with instanced multiplayer events? How open world is it, and is it a big enough game for all those people? I suppose we’ll just have to wait for our hands-on time with the game at E3, but Bungie has said that we have probably seen less than 10% of the game thus far. Wow – that’s a ton more content that’s waiting to be seen! I can’t wait to go Total Recall on the game and spend a ton of time checking out Mars, and its unusual inhabitants. Extra-boobed guardian, anyone?

To all the kiddies out there, it’s the Total Recall film from 1990 not the 2012 “Hollywood cool aid” reboot

Their official response was they feel they need to focus on one platform instead of splitting their resources. And also some nonsense about additional work being required to make it work on PC?

Destiny sounds a lot like Warframe, any idea why Warframe doesn’t get any love?

Not even close, have you watched any game play or read anything about the story, plus it’s going to f2p and not pay to win. Besides warframe is so repetitive.

Why bother with PC. They lose money from PC because of pirates. Not only that PC gaming is to expensive for most people.
