It’s well known that China isn’t the strictest country in the world when it comes to abiding by copyright laws or protecting intellectual property. But even I was amazed that they’ve created an entire theme park based on World of Warcraft – and yet it is entirely unofficial.
Yes they’ve gone out and spent millions on creating a massive park based on the hit game but decided that they couldn’t pay the royalty fees and will rather just illegally copy the IP without any worry that the government will close them down.
Want to see it? Of course you do. Make sure to spend some time trying to read the Engrish and marveling at the idea of a happiness index.
Awesome isn’t it… pity it looks like it has so few customers and will likely go out of business, because if I ever get to go to China I’d love to check it out.
Oh and Jeremy I found this one via reddit as well but at least this time it is a popular story so we won’t be 100% convinced you stole it from us without credit.
