HWOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!

First up, good ol’ veteran anime Saint Seiya. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, then you might remember a short-lived dubbed series by the name of Knights of the Zodiac. A series that featured more politically correct edits and cuts than a British TV series about shaking a baby awake.

Starring the typical Shonen mentally retarded character that Japan happens to love, the series examined mythology, camaraderie and punching people really hard in the face ten thousand times per second while wearing armour that was known as a “cloth”, with the effectiveness of said armour being graded on an Olympic medal scale.

A new fighter game is on the way according to Gematsu, that’ll go by the name of Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers and PEGASUS METEOR PUNCH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Here’s the first trailer and screens for that game that WILL BURN YOUR COSMOS TO THE MAX:

Hopping publications, Dragon Ball Z returns yet again this year, as it nears Street Fighter/Dance Dance Revolution milking levels. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z takes the presumably now bloated fighting game style of that cash cow, and throws in more co-op and team-based stuff. Probably. I don’t know, it all looks like a Namekian landscape to me right now. In other words, the exact same.

And if you couldn’t be arsed enough to play online, there’s a solo mode included as well. “The Dragon Ball games continue to thrill fans across Europe, and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z brings some very exciting new features to the series,” said Olivier Comte, senior vice president, Namco Bandai Games Europe via AGB.

The large scale cooperative team melee battles are like nothing players have seen before in a Dragon Ball game. Fans can’t afford to miss it.

Screw you, I could totally unafford to miss it, because my bank account isn’t even over 9000 cents right now. Anyway, screens and trailer below:

Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers will be hitting European markets somewhere later this year, while Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z will be screaming at your face for several minutes at an unknown date.

Is it me or does it look like Micheal Bay has had some part in this game’s development?

Haha! I loved your synopsis on Knights of the Zodiac. I am just as tired of the retarded Shounen trope. It’s hampering my enjoyment of Shingeki no Kyojin.

I’m still sticking with Budokai 3 from the recent HD re-release. The only DBZ game that I’ll ever need. Simple controls, deep fighting mechanics.
