Check out the Blizzard Offices

I’ve already mentioned that I was in France last week to check out Heart of the Swarm, you can read about that here and here, but we were also given a tour of the offices and while most of the building is top secret I was allowed to snap some pictures in certain areas.

First of all, I have no idea why the building is top secret but they are serious about that. During our tour we had a PR person leading and telling us all about their staff and layout and then another PR person trailing to make sure no one snuck away –  and a third circling us to make sure we did as we were told…

The offices in Versailles aren’t used for development but more for customer service support across the European regions (including us) as well as media creation, marketing, event organising and public relations.

It was interesting to see them using Scrum boards to plan their website development and plans and that their employees are allowed to play games at their desks during lunch, downtime or breaks. In other words it is an awesome place to work.

You should see all the cool paraphernalia lying around the offices but unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of those either…

However I was allowed to photograph the following.. and these aren’t statues they are actually suits that you can wear.
