Well here’s some good news at long last for Xbox One dudebros. There’s been a lot said so far about Call of Duty: Ghosts on next-gen platforms, with the Microsoft console suffering a few knocks in resolution. But there’s a reason for that, because going 720P was the best way to keep that 60 FPS signature intact. Something that the PS4 may be struggling with.
Next-gen console reviews have finally begun to appear on the net after the embargo was lifted, with several reviewers claiming that the PS4 struggles to keep the 1080P action running smoothly during the most important mode of the game, multiplayer.
“The Xbox One release’s framerate was far more noticeable,” said Polygon when they updated their review.
As mentioned in the initial review, Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from consistent framerate drops on the PS4, especially during multiplayer when action got especially hectic. The Xbox One version suffered no such drops, maintaining a steady 60 frames per second throughout.
IGN also touched on that problem, remarking that the game had “occasional framerate issues during the single-player campaign on PS3 and PS4, whereas my time with the Xbox One version was stable throughout.”
So pick you poison I guess. Gavin says that he didn’t see any notable differences between the two from his experience, and there’s no reason why a patch can’t be released in time to fix the game up. But until then, it’s something that Xbox One fans can be happy about.

Much improved controller – any previous PS owner will be in heaven. Frame rates aren’t crap, just not as smooth as Xbone, its 500gb storage, and the console doesn’t overheat ever.

I think at this stage we can just all agree that the next-gen versions of COD has issues. It’s not surprising. It’s COD after all.
