Hearthstone was a ridiculously popular closed beta. It went into open beta a few months back, and apparently it’s already ready for launch. That’s right, you can go and press the purple button today and start playing.
That’s right, if you want to play Hearthstone and have been waiting for it to be really and truly released, that time has finally come. So head on over to the official site and download it. But wait, there’s more.
Blizzard has added some in-game extras to celebrate its coming out of beta:
Winning three matches in unranked Play mode gets you an electric-blue Hearthsteed mount for your World of Warcraft character to stylishly block everyone’s access to the mailbox. If you rack up an impressive 500 wins in ranked Play mode, your chosen hero portrait turns golden and gets a couple extra special animations while casting spells or fighting.
Wow, something for my WoW character? Must be a way to lure people back in considering the expansion is coming. But hey, I suppose it is Blizzard’s prerogative to offer cool things across their Battle.net offering. I think people would rather get some awesome Hearthstone battle gear in Diablo, though.
I’m still waiting for this to come to iPad, where it will be invincible. I love the idea of it going big on eSports, but on iPad. I’d love to see all that awesome concentration and hoopla around eSports, while everyone reclines on easy chairs with their tablets. That will be the day. I wonder if third party people will release special eSports iPad covers. I would totally cover my iPad with Na’Vi branding.

I find the games are to simple, long and are decided halfway through (at least in comparison to MTG), that being said I’ve seen some amazing plays.
I’ve literally had games last 5 turns before it was over and I’ve managed to turn around a game at 1 health. You simply can’t do that in Hearthstone.

You should have a look at Spectromancer on Steam. It’s a fun little card game.

I beg to differ. I’ve turned games around at 1hp, I’ve seen games decided in the last play. It’s all about deck composition and a bit of luck of the draw. Just get that 1 card, and bam.

Apple people never mean tablets when they say iPad! Hehe.
Though I must agree. Should be great fun on a tablet.

I’m still trying to figure out what kind of Apple product a “nvincible” is.
Kensei Seraph
March 12, 2014 at 14:35
It’s basically a full body Apple version of Google Glass, it’s still in the prototype phase.
Biggest problem is that when you move you break it.

This game is very fun BUT as you said.. It needs to be on my tablet before I would play it more than a single match.

This game is so addictive, really. Been playing it for just over a month now, and the first thing I play when I turn my PC on nowadays is Hearthstone so I can complete the daily challenge.
Priest, Paladin and Mage classes are the best imo
Kensei Seraph
March 12, 2014 at 15:11
I personally prefer Rogue.
There’s some lovely tricks in there.
Managed to get a creature out with more than 25 power and about 23 toughness on my 7th turn 😀
My opponent then played a creature with a battlecry that allows him to destroy any creature with 5 or more power.
I congratulated him and cried a little inside.

My most played classs is Priest. Made a 40/40 a few weeks back. Nether dragon + 9 cards in hand = 4/10
Had a Taunt on the field so the guy went for that and went straight for my hitpoints, he thought he had me……until I used 3 blessing cards in a row…double creatures hit points, double creatures hit points…….make attack equal to health…….the guy was in shock. Amazing
Also like the rogue class, got its legendary Edwin van Cleef…..+2 +2 for each card you play that turn before you play him.
Kensei Seraph
March 13, 2014 at 10:58
That’s the one I played.
I played 8 or 9 cards in one turn, one of them twice :P.

Interesting to see how many people (including myself) are waiting for a tablet version. I guess some game types do work better on them.
