I'm on a boat!

Like everything in life, the best things available come in pairs. Salt and vinegar chips. Smith and Wesson guns, Benson and Hedges cigarettes…Ok, my childhood was weird. This year, gamers once again get Battlefield and Call of Duty. And it looks like Christmas begins early this year for some Battlefield fans.

PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers can get in on some open beta action from October 1, according to EA’s Peter Moore over on the company blog. It’s not clear yet whether that date is for those folks who pre-ordered and got earlier access, so stay tuned for more of those details.

Meanwhile, the Battlefield Blog has shed some more light on the vehicles of the game, that will no doubt play a part in the ‘Levelution’ of the franchise. Whether it’s land, sea or air, there’s a death-dealing vehicle for everyone, with naval combat being described as a “constantly changing experience”. See more for yourself in the video below:

Battlefield 4 is out October 29 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It’ll be hitting PS4 in glorious more-HD over here on November 29, and on Xbox One on November 21.

Wake-up, breakfast, 8 – 10 hour working day, sugary beverage, watch people at Gym for 20 mins and go home, two hours GTA online, speak to missus for 10 mins, two hours BF4, 30min meditation…. little bit of TV, sleep! Rinse and repeat!

When you pre-order from EA, it does state that the “Beta” is exclusive to those who pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition….I would assume a boo boo in the copy on the blog imo….

I just hope the gunship is better implemented in 4 than on BF3. There was nothing more annoying than trying to defend an objective with shells raining on your head. Sure, you can rack up the kills if you’re attacking, but that’s not really the point. Although, the last time I checked it out, the gunship was more vulnerable to AA.
