Assassins Creed Unity Delay
Earlier this year October was looking like a real cluster…mess. There were games coming out every week, with some major titles even sharing the same release day. Game after game has been delayed, slimming down October a little bit. Yesterday, it just got thinner.
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been delayed by two weeks, pushing the title well into November. The reason behind the delay seems to be some last minute polish, although the game will still require a day-one patch. Considering the game has yet to go gold, that seems a little odd.

Unity senior producer Vincent Pontbriand announced the delay on a Ubisoft blog post yesterday.

“This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning. It’s always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we’re near the target but we’re not quite there yet.”

Unity will now launch on the same day – November 13th – as the other Assassin’s Creed title, Rogue. Unity is coming exclusively to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, while Rogue will give older console fans their fix for the year.

So now instead of October being the month for game releases this year, November is starting to look even more incredible. Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4 and now Unity. This year has hardly started.

Maybe it would have gone faster if you’d cut the male playable characters too. hur hur hur!

I don’t understand, it is delayed but will still require a day one patch? How about negating the need for a day one patch?
