AC4 Adewale (1)

Would you look at that! Another game is getting a season pass. Because reasons. Here’s what extras your $20 will nab you at the end of this month in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

The main bait in this season pass is that players will get the chance to slip a white hoodie on as Adewale, former slave turned ass-kicking assassin.

Here’s the official summary copy and pasted from Ubisoft:

All New Single Player Story – Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own.

He starts to meet locals in an effort to assemble a crew and steal a ship. The more he helps, however, the more he is drawn into the Maroon slave community. Forced to face his past, Adewale sets out to free the slaves and bring death to their captors. Over 3 hours of new single-player gameplay!

Exclusive Kraken Ship Pack – Only available to Season Pass owners, this pack includes a sail, wheel, and figurehead inspired by the legendary sea monsters known for swallowing ships, men and whales

A Deeper Single Player Experience – Additional single player missions, weapons, skins, and collectibles for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

More Multiplayer Mayhem – Unlock new characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience

Combined with other digital extras, players can reportedly save up to 20% with this bundle compared to downloading it piecemeal. The game is out at the end of October, on pretty much all the big platforms.

  1. lame.
In the past, Season Pass was 4-5 future DLC packs with a 30% discount. This only has 1. Forza 4 and Gears of War 3 showed us why a Season Pass was a good idea. This is just a rip-off imo.

Borderlands 2 also had a great season pass that was worth every cent.

I’d only be interested in the one Adewale pack anyways, so that’ll be cheaper than a season pass.

the borderlands 2 DLC packs where as long as the vanilla game.
turned a long as hell game into a game that takes a full month to finish just the main story lines.

That is how seasons passes should be.
the $40 battlefield Seasons pass and “3 hours of extra gameplay for $20” is bullshit

I don’t want to fully unleash it. Always leave them wanting more – apparently I’m good at that… er… wait a minute… 🙁

Borderlands 2 did the Seasons pass right.
This isnt great, but atleast it isnt $40 like the battlefield Seasons Pass.

Did you see the GOTY contents? Doesn’t include the UVHM 2 or the upcoming Digistruct Peak DLC. Gearbox is riding the cow to death.

unphased tbh, by the time i got to UVHM, I was sick of the game. 3 playthroughs with all the DLC is a big mountain to climb, nevermind the 4th playthrough.
and digistruct peak isnt all that worth it, i did 3 runs of the challenge and decided the overlevels werent worth it. the extra playthrough doesnt add anything.
most people wont push on past TVHM.

if the GOTY comes with krieg and UVHM 1, then it seems like a pretty value packed GOTYE.

I agree on the GOTY thing here – it comes with so much more than the original game it’s definitely worth it if you don’t already have BL2. And yeah it is loooooong to get through a 3rd playthrough, nevermind a 4th. Hell, I haven’t even finished a 3rd playthrough yet.

I just bought a pony made of diamonds, coz I’m rich, and that’s cool. What do I name him? “Butt Stallion”. I’ll name him after you.

Yeah that was super funny the first time, but hearing it every single time?

The Dialogue in the game was great, I still find some things funny, most of what jack says was funny for atleast the first 5 times, not many games can say that, after that though…

Yeah I guess you’re right. The game had a charm worth visiting a few times (despite being the exact same thing) and very few games can boast that. A lot of games can’t even boast that on a single playthrough.

Also, the multiplayer in BL was just as fun and added real longevity to the game that wasn’t artificial NG+++ modes.

I have to add this. In the undying words of Milla Jovavich with redish orange hair and a barely concealing white strap outfit:

    “Edward Kenway, MULTIPASS”
