Organised Chaos

Organised Chaos is the most popular LAN in Cape Town; they’ve had amazing events in the past and are attempting to keep it up. They’ve been one of the biggest names in local LAN’s for a very long time and this April, they’ll be making a ninja out of all their attendants.

The LAN will be taking place from 19 – 21 April, and bookings will close on 16 April. This month’s theme is “Element Ninja”, and the game being played is Dota 2. Here are the details:

It generally is, but what I don’t like about CO is that most of the people go there to copy pirate stuff. I see people walking in with one or two external HDDs. I haven’t been there in a while though, so maybe the organisers started to regulate things more… not sure.

“Leeching” unfortunately is one of the things that are a part of LANs it becomes a problem when people only attend for that reason

Is that what it’s called? Yeah, it’s a big problem there, but like I said, I don’t know if the organisers have started to do something about it.

Thats what its called here in JHB 🙂
Also another problem is that many people come and download stuff and leave their updates running on all their games and then the internet is slow to play anything so last LAN i went to the guys had to monitor the usage very closely

firstly find out if their Internet connection is fast, sufficient and working correctly before you go, unless you are just going to leach, in which case you are a NOOB.

Most games require a Internet connection to play, like BF3. Ask anyone who went to Rage last year what a F up it was, except for the Noobs playing cracked/hacked games. Was a total fail and will never be attending it again.

I haven’t heard of any complaints when I went there. I never LAN though, I just go with friends and socialise.

I haven’t been to CO in a very long time, but it really is a lot of fun. The biggest issue I have with the people attending the event, is it’s almost like a free video game store. It’s ridiculous. Oh, and it gets very cramped…
