If you’ve not been paying attention, you wouldn’t know that the domain ModernWarfare3.com, registered by an overzealous Battlefield fan, recently pointed to the official site for DICE’s upcoming modern combat shooter. Now, it’s just a blatant anti-Modern Warfare site calling Modern Warfare 3 a “copy and paste sequel to the lackluster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and an “Epic Fail”

Activision is not at all happy about it, and has now filed a complain of name dispute, hoping to claim the domain.

"It appears that the Respondent supports the game Battlefield from the game developer Electronic Arts ("EA")," Activision states in the complaint. "EA is one of Complainant’s principal competitors in the video game industry, and Battlefield game competes in the marketplace with Complainant’s MODERN WARFARE games and its other military-themed shooter games in the CALL OF DUTY series."

Do you think Activision needs to pull up its big boy pants and get over the whole thing, or do they have the right to the domain?
