For some reason that I’m unable to fathom, people really, really, really like Farm Simulator. While you may all scoff, and hurl derisive remarks, the game is one of the most popular titles here and in Europe. The last version of the game sold over 2 million copies. That’s not a thing to be sneezed at. There’s a new one coming, and in two weeks you too will be able to digitally eke out a farm life.

From harvesters to tractors, from fields to chickens, from cows to bales of hay, our guided tour which will give you an idea of the numerous daily activities awaiting you in the new generation of Farming Simulator, arriving in just two weeks time!

With a new graphics engine, a new physics engine, new visual effects, a new interface, new gameplay mechanics, new vehicles and environments, Farm Simulator has never looked better. If for whatever reason you’ve wondered what it must be like to live in the rural Free State, you now can, without ever having to go drive on the N1. Wondering what you do in Farm Simulator?

Manage your own farm: from harvesting to animal husbandry, and from the sales of fresh products to woodcutting, the benefits of your exploitation will allow you to develop, and invest in new and more powerful vehicles or tools.

The thing even has multiplayer, which lets you invite 15 of your closest friends around to help you maintain your farmland. It’s out for PC in just two weeks. Sorry, all you console-owning budding digital farmers; you’re going to have to wait until 2015 for your farming fix.
