You’ve got until 9AM to deal unlimited damage in the latest exploit for The Division

Is there any one game that has been picked apart by players as much has The Division has? It seems that a new exploit pops up just about every week, from unlimited credits, farming elite enemies and tricking the AI into thinking that there must be some homicidal phantasm on the loose. The latest such exploit however is a doozy: Unlimited DPS.

Damage Per Second is that one number that players always want more of, a feat usually tackled by attempting to achieve a perfect symbiosis between gear, weapons, skills and the use of them at the exact right time. Testicles to that. Like a tween wanting to get real good real fast on the guitar without shredding their fingertips in the process, I want high damage NOW.

And the trick is rather simple. All you have to do is make certain that you have a weapon with the Competent talent equipped (which ups your weapon damage by 13% for ten seconds after a skill is used). Next, switch between that weapon and another as quickly as possible. It’ll slowly raise your DPS, so you’ll need to do this for a good 5-10 minutes apparently. The result? DPS gains of more than a million. Hot damn.

With a DPS of that level, you’re able to take down enemies with a mere handful of bullets instead of several magazines. Enjoy it while it lasts however, because you’ve got until 9AM CET/3AM EST to make the most of it before The Division servers go down for some maintenance. This will last for round two hours, so expect that exploit to be properly plugged in the process.

Here’s the list of other fixes that will be hotfixed in according to Ubisoft:

Falcon Lost

  • The APC will now only take damage from C4
  • Characters will now be killed when going inside the spawn closet

Gameplay

  • Weapon mods added automatically to a newly crafted weapon can now be deconstructed properly

UI

  • Fixed an issue where items from the Reward Claim Vendor would be granted abnormally
  • PC: Fixed an issue where using ASCII code in in-game chat could lead to client crash

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go juggle guns like a clown in a Rob Zombie circus.

This game is just exploit after exploit, nothing is polished. Laziest devs I have seen in a long time.

So basically instead of multiple mags you use a mere few bullets…. This glitch sounds like The Division most people wanted from the start 😛

Yep. But it is much more satisfying to get the boss down without exploiting.

And it gets easier after a while.

Now, I can’t even solo Falcon Lost anymore. Before, i can just sticky bomb the APC to oblivion, but after they patch it so the APC only take damage from C4s, i am not even going to try it
