Uncharted-Hipster

Never, ever make the mistake of talking to a photographer who has been around since the dark room ages where you had to put those weird canisters of film rolled up plastic inside a camera body and actually put some effort into checking the lighting conditions of your environment around you. Because they’ll have plenty of words regarding the whole digital revolution. About how anyone can rock up with a DSLR and refer to themselves as a pro photographer because they did a two-hour course on how to adjust levels in Adobe Photoshop.

Personally, I delight in their misery and routinely poke them about how cameras are essentially dead thanks to the rise of smartphones. Man, it should not be scientifically possible for a camera shop desk jockey to froth so much at the mouth. Anyway, the point of all this is that these days any photo can be made to look even better thanks to filters.

In the right hands, filters add a touch of class. In the wrong hands, filters create hipsters, which is why I’m still asking parliament to consider nuking Cape Town once and for all. Or turning Table Mountain into an inescapable prison at least for the scum. Filters can be found everywhere, from Instagram to Twitter. Just about anything with a visual side has them. And now, so does Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Yessir, you’ll be able to play through the entire Uncharted 4 game with a filter of your choice plastered all over the screen. Here’s a gallery of them via AllGamesDelta, as well as a list that I’ve just made up of the Uncharted 4 filters:

[Gallery removed at Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe’s request]
  • Sepiastic
  • Jennifer Lopez’s The Cel-shaded
  • Uncharted Windows 4.1 Edition
  • The Disney Rises
  • Doctor Who budget episode
  • Capetonian Chroma
  • Fame-ly Matters
  • Gray’s Anatomy Scale
  • Neo-politan
  • Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude where’s my car
  • Troncharted
  • Nathan Dora the Explorer

Pretty cool, right? Uncharted 4: A thief’s End is finally out on May 10 on Pee Ess Fawr this year.

Hehehe, I only visited Yankee town last night, for the first time in about 3 days, currently I’m avoiding that Dark Zone like the plague, so the game time amounts to 30 minutes doing a few of the dailies and then bolting back out to Paris to see if I can achieve the Hitman assassination challenges, so far, it has all gone horribly wrong… But you’ll see me tonight again, any new weapons?

The weapons on special this week are kinda lame, got a full set of Striker gear now at least, and my alt is on level 8/9

I want to start an Alt too, but when I think of all the time I’ve spent in game, that thought gets crushed by the weight of poo loaded nappies…

No man, you use the main char for the tough things, the alt to help farm phoenix credz, also, your stash is cross character, so if you have spare blue/green gear, you assign to your secondary

And one that has been overdue, like that one specific book in the bookshelf, you know the one, with the library card that’s starting to slowly disintegrate, due to old age…

The filter will disguise the fact that the Frame Rate is worse than the Trilogy Collection.

Uncharted Fans who own the Trilogy collection WILL notice the lower framerate.

I dont know… We will see if people prefer all the moving pieces on the screen resulting in 30fps.

I prefer Frame Rate (gameplay) to resolution (graphics).

Frame rate can be lower, graphics can be lower as long as the gameplay gives me an unforgettable experience I will be 100%. Some of the worst experiences I have ever had with a game was fantastic graphics at 60 FPS and some of the best experiences I have ever had with a game was average graphics at 30 frames.

I suppose 3rd person can get away with it as there is more field of view when shooting. As for FPS games being at 30fps, Nope, does not work. After a month spent in Far Cry I jumped into Metro Last Light Redux. I could not believe how responsive that game was. 60fps FTW.

Does not need a review. Naughty Dog = 10/10

There. Should knock GTAV off the top spot.

Uncharted 4 will be a good tester to finally see if gamers can tell the difference between 60FPS and 30FPS, considering the SP is 30 and the multi player is 60.
