Have a look at Evolve in action!

The newest game from the people who brought you Left 4 Dead sounds a heck of a lot like Left 4 Dead, only with bizarre mutant monsters in it instead of zombies. The big difference here is that it’s a 5 player game; 4 playing together as soldiers, while one plays as a great big monster boss. It sounds neat…and it looks just as good.

Unlike Left 4 Dead, this one’s class based, and you’ll have to deploy using a full complement of Medic, Assault, Support and Trapper. Teamwork and communication are incredibly crucial, or you’ll find yourselves all being eaten. Each class will be privy to its own primary weapons, and bolstered by a number of gadgets that’ll all get unlocked through progress. It’s got a dash of verticality to it, thanks to jetpacks, which always make games better. Always.

And from those who’ve played the game, it sounds like it’s going to be quite a strategic affair; the monsters can use stealth, trap and route soldiers, while the soldiers can hold choke points in the map to keep the creature away from support.

You’ll be able to play the thing offline with bots if you so choose, or take it to the internet and play online. Unfortunately, there’s no split-screen, so you’ll need a system per player.  Speaking of systems, Evolve will be available for PC and the new consoles only, leaving the Xbox 360 and PS3 out of this equation.

Fantastic song! For those that are curious, the cover in the video is sung by Lissie, which is pretty freaking cool as well 😀

Turtlerock studios dont really make good games. They are sort of like Valves paper pushers. Fortunately Valve take over production once the game is release, and thats when all the great things begin to happen.

[sarcasm]Oh its too bad its not 32v32, what an unambitious pile of outdated nonsense. It should at least have levolution and tanks! Because you know that would make it unique and next gen and stuff.[/]

Looks like awesomesauce. Also, it’s been quite a while since I’ve read the words “expansion pack”. Tsek, dlc, your’re not welcome here.
