The Division has its own loot and Phoenix Credit cave

Division Bullet King (1)

Well sort of. What The Division does have, is a rather handy exploit for anyone who happens to be looking for a quick score. If you’re looking to shore up on some easy Phoenix Credits and maybe some new purple loot which you can sell off for a quick buck, then good news! There’s a way to do that, which is magnificent for loot-obsessed players in a loot-obsessed game that is all about mathematical mayhem. Here’s how it works:

Go to the Autumn’s Hope safehouse

Division Bullet King (5)

You can find this safehouse right at the top of the map in The Division, in Time’s Square. By now, your in-game level should be a healthy late-20s or 30 at least.

Exit Autumn’s Hope

Division Bullet King (6)

As you exit, head right immediately into the street filled with some lovely garbage. Rather impressive rubbish, I do say. Now at this point, there’ll be four Riker goons right at the top of the map, coming down in your direction or a little to the left at the end of the street.

Prepare for selective battle

Division Bullet King (3)

Here’s where it gets tricky. Not only do you have to kill the Yellow Elite who goes by the name of the Bullet King, but you have to do so while avoiding his three pals as well. You can get away with killing just one of them, but its better to avoid them altogether. Finish off the Bullet King, and then hightail it out of there, or let the Goon Squad kill you.

Division Bullet King (2)

Use your ping to amplify your damage on the Bullet King, and stick to diversionary gear so that you keep the goons alive. Remember, if you The Bullet King and all of his pals, HE WILL NEVER EVER SPAWN AGAIN.

Rinse and repeat

So here’s the cool part. The Bullet King will drop a guaranteed purple piece of gear or weaponry, and keeping his minions alive while you hightail it back to your safehouse resets the encounter. The Bullet King also drops some Phoenix Credits, so that’s hella useful as well. Sure, it’s not as much fun as being in the Dark Zone with your buddies, but it’s nice to have an exploit anyway.

Or at least until Ubisoft hotfixes it in a later The Division round of maintenance. Better start grinding!
