Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 coming to Xbox One and PS4

I love the Resident Evil franchise – but even fans have to admit that the series has taken a few wrong turns in recent years. Resident Evil 6, for example, was a complete mess – with its branching campaign hardly making any sense, both mechanically and narratively.

Going back further, and we start hitting the better stuff. Resident Evil 5 may have dispensed with much of the scary stuff, but it was a damned good action game, especially if you played it co-operatively and could deal with all of that overt racism. Playing it on your own, with your co-op partner controlled by the AI? An exercise in frustration.

Go back even further, and you get to Resident Evil 4 – which is hailed by many as the very best game in the Resident Evil franchise, and one of the best action games ever made. Some consider it the genesis of the over-the-shoulder third person action game, responsible for inspiring games like Gears of War.

Well, for better or worse, all three of them are coming to the new consoles. Capcom’s announced that Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 are coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as standalone digital titles – priced at an MSRP of only $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 each.

With Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 1 already available on the news systems, and a Resident Evil 2 remake on the way, it leaves just Resident Evil 3: Nemesis as the sole, numbered game in the core series to not be on the new systems. Unfortunately, they’re being released in reverse chronological order; Resident Evil 6 on March 29, Resident Evil 5 in North America’s summer 2016 and Resident Evil 4 in North America’s Autumn 2016

The big problem with remastered games is they end up in my digital library never to be played, uncharted I did finish but because it was disk based and wanted to be traded.

      6 – Trash
      5 – Slightly less trash
4 – Overrated with bad atmosphere and story but good gameplay – so, sure

      Yeah… na.

LOL I sincerely hope they’re gonna spice things up. Maybe a new mode and control scheme, or something.

Resident Evil 5 did look pretty spectacular back in the day, but the tank controls were pretty frustrating. I remember my buddy saying, “What, I can’t walk and shoot at the same time? This is the 21st fucking century!”

Yeah since they remaking all these they might as well do RE3 as well and release like a huge RE box collection remake! ^_^
