The next Borderlands 2 DLC is out June 25

For all the hate cast towards Gearbox for their mismanagement of the Aliens franchise, you have to appreciate all the effort they’ve put in to making Borderlands 2 a better, bigger game. Season pass holders have already been treated to 3 bits of expansive campaign DLC (two of which weren’t rubbish!) – and soon, there will be a fourth.

Coming on June 25 is a new DLC bolt-on featuring everybody’s favourite ebonics-spewing, explosives-obsessed teenage miscreant, Tiny Tina in “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.”

Played as a meta-game, the DLC will see you, the Vault hunter playing a board game against the Vault Hunters of old, with the ebullient miscreant as the game’s Dungeon Master. sounds neat…and geeky. And with Tiny Tina involved, possibly just a tad racist.

Here’s a little teaser of the DLC that IGN captured at PAX East this year. It’s out on all platforms on June 25, and will cost $9.99 (800 Microsoft clown coins). It will also be free to season pass holders.

I recently fell in love with Borderlands 2 all over again, after a brief stint of hating the hell out of its first DLC, the terribly dull, pirate-themed expansion, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty. I’m looking quite forward to returning to Pandora to loot-and-shoot for what must be the millionth time.

I hate online games. I hate FPS.

But should I play Borderlands 2? I love RPG, Fallout, Neverwinter Nights, Kingdoms of Amular, stuff like that. Mass Effect Baby (OVG quote, right?)

    It looks like fun, but…..

Or perhaps I should look at youtube gameplay video?

the reason I ask is the DLC’s I read about for Borderlands 2 seem so irreverent, as if the game is having fun with itself. That is awesome.

      Yes Yes Yes and Yes….

Borderlands is a lot of fun, Yes it is a FPS, yes there are tons of Hidden Easter Eggs that reference soo many Childhood favourites (TMNT)… But as you have stated, the game does not take itself seriously.

And when your is PhysX turned to the Max, then it is Super Purrrdy…

My problem is I played halo 3. I could not hit anything at all and had no will to practice or anything. I play to have fun, not struggle.

        Easy setting, perhaps, then?

Borderlands 2 is a lot of fun. You don’t have to play online either, it’s not difficult to solo with the exception of raid bosses, but the couple of times I’ve played online did add to the fun.

This is the one time that I wish I had ASDL, so I don’t have to wait for these DLC addon packs that are sold in stores. I thought the last one was awesome, the pirate one was shit but Mr Torgues campaign was brilliant. I just want to keep playing the shit out of this, taking a break after my 2nd playthrough.

I’m just waiting for Borderlands 3!!!! Roll on!
